Half-elf Fighter2 Rogue1

Jeremy recieved his name from a merchant that felt sympathy for the abandoned halfelven babe. He was the bastard son of elven women taken advantage of by bandits. After she gave birth, she could not kill the child, but left him to die. He was adopted and looked after by the traveling merchant Coal, and his wife Magaret for several years.

At age 7, he was left behind in a small town, when Coal could not find him for two days. Thus he spent his childhood learning the way of the homeless. Stealing his food and clothing and running with other kids on the street. Eventually he became a skilled thief, burglarizing stores and homes.

Finally, at age 13, he was caught stealing jewlery from a local layman's house. Realizing the boy had no home, the layman(Whit) decided against turning him over to the authorities and took him into his own home, teaching him the ways of Lathander. Jeremy grew to respect Whit and his god, enjoying his first real home. His taste for adventure never left him though. He took up sword practice and eventually served as a town guard, learning to use many weapons.

In his 16th year he left the town and began traveling again, coming to the town of Secomber. He has seen the best and worst of society. He is generally a likable young man although he is extremely touchy about his race. He still wants to find his real parents, and know the details of their past.

Jokan is a priest of Shaundakul, originally from Deepingdale, where he learned at the feet of an elderly priest who had retired there. His father left the snithy he ran to Jokan's elder brother, and as Jokan's uncommon insight and patience for a young man made him a quick study, his parents blessed his entry into a religion that would take him far and wide.

When his mentor died, Jokan hired on as a guard with a caravan to Arabel, and then to Waterdeep. He gained much knowledge of the world and fighting on these dangerous trips, making many friends with the guards, always glad for a priest, even a fledgling.

Jokan travelled from Waterdeep to Secomber with another caravan, and finds himself in the Purple Kobold, looking for something new...

Sorry folks, I am waiting on a response from one prospective player that will have impact on the team makeup. If I don't hear from him/her by tomorrow morning I will make a final decision regardless. I will PM the selected players by mid-day tomorrow and we will get started shortly.

I posted the selected characters. My thanks to everyone who submitted. There were more excellent characters than I want to try taking on at this time since this is my first campaign. I will post if I feel I am able to add more in the near future.
