Aerthon: Quest for the Eye

This is a custom Campaign Setting utilizing the DnD 3.5e rules. It started our origionally as a custom RPG system designed for pen and paper or IRC play. In 2005 I decided to fork the system yet again to not only free up my creativity to foccus on the storyline, but also to generate interest in Aerthon in general.

I have designed it from various sources. I wanted it to match what I believe would make a realistic yet enjoyable setting. The setting is Fantasy/Medieval, similar to J.R.R. Tolkiens Middle Earth. It has Dragons, Elven, Imps, Goblins, Hobbits, and Romance. The spirit of this setting is to be simple to create a strong storyline while maintaining an adequate level of realism. Aerthon is over a decade old, so there is a already a rich heritage and history to draw from.

Although Aerthon is already a decade old, the process of converting over to DnD 3.5e is a slow process which is still under heavy development. I've taken the inside-out philosophy to world building, starting out with a small area, and allowing it to develop naturally. Comments, questions, and even complaints are always
welcome.


Approved Game Sources

The following sources are pre-approved for character generation. Classes, Spells, Races, and everything else is approved if its found in the approved game sources. In other words, if its in the following books, its fair game automatically:

Dungeons and Dragons - Core Rulebook I - Player's Handbook 3.5e
Dungeons and Dragons - Core Rulebook II - Dungeon Masters Guide 3.5e
Dungeons and Dragons - Core Rulebook III - Monster Manual 3.5e

If you want to use any other sources, you will need pre-approval from the Dungeon Master before you attempt to use the source in character generation. Yes, that means I allow monster PCs from the monster manual, such as Half-dragons, Minataurs, Kobolds, etc.

hi, I'm considering joining as a cleric but I'm not sure of the status of deities in your setting. What I mean is, what is there to choose from? and what domains?

You can use the deities and domains from the core set. Any deities from any other sources needs to be approved by me. The Wolven and Leonin worship what they call the "Great Spirit" that they consider the creator of all that is. Other than that, the same Deities listed in the PHB.

Since my pm don't reach you I wanted to ask you something.. Since your starting level is 1.. How can you be a half-dragon ... It's states an ecl of +3 so you atleast need to be lvl 4 to be one. (I think the spot is already taken but still I wonder how )

I'm running many campaigns, and thats a generic message. All characters are subject to approval or disapproval. No, half-dragons are not allowed in this particular game. Now if I were starting a game at level 4, then yes, I would allow them. And no, your spot is not taken quite yet. I'm looking for 4 to 6 PCs.
