Two Clueless Characters Needed: A Divine and an Arcane Magic User
Bah! Guard for The Clueless He says, guard for invaders or I'll shave your spines. Boring this is; invasion my ass. Staying here in this wind is crappy job. Said the poor Halitsu, shielding himself bored to heavens and back, from the scorching air of a fireball centered on his tail while surprisingly close to him, the spring midday sun made wild animals do what they do when they're not sleeping, except that it was with greater love and peace. Darn, that place looked like a piece of Arborea on mating season! Quote:
1. This will be a game of 7 players, starting from 1st level. But since I already have five players, I'll be accepting only two more characters, as listed in the title. 2. This will be both a hack-n-slash campaign and a role playing game. 3. Keep your eyes open, your tongue smooth and your weapon close. Since the universe I'm putting you into is a [theoretically] unknown one and a hostile one, this game will require you to think and interact with one another. Working as a team and using everything in your resources will prove essentail to overcome obstacles, solve problems, and basically survive 4. This game is intended for the mature audience only since will most likely have a few posts that will be very graphic with detailed descriptions of blood and gore along with some occasional orcish language. So if you are a person that is offended easily then please do not apply. 5. Although I prefer races from PHB only and Classes from both the PHB and the Complete Series, almost all races and classes from absolutely any book, will be accepted on a case by case basis, with a single exception. No Psions. Hate them. 6. There will be no evil alignment. 7. Usually, posting will occur almost every day but there will be moments, quite often, in which I'll be able to post only once per week, depending on my mood, the resources involved in the next post and the time availability. So be sure that, before submitting, you have the required frequency of posting and that you understand my limitations. This can lead to reduced wasted time from both your side and mine. If I'll miss more than a week, I'll announce you accordingly and I expect the same from you. 8. Your character will gain no XP if you provide me with lame, unimaginative, one sentence posts and you will soon be kicked out of the game without remorse. On the other side of the coin, I will be awarding bonus XP - using Securis XP award method - for well thought out and creative posts. 9. The characters will be selected only based on the character concept with emphasis on the character's background. The concept will be submitted by me via PM and must include the Alignment, Class, Race, Background, Description and Wants in life/Desires/Ambitions/Dreams. 10. Any questions, remarks, feedback or whatever can be posted in this thread. 11. As for technical issues:
13. The game has already [sort of] begun. You can see the Game Thread here

Hey, I loved playing with Securis before he went away for a while (sure hope he comes back). I'll send you a PM with a character later today (I'm at class at the moment)

I'd like to apply for the divine caster position, but I'd like to be an archivist, to try it out. It can be found here- http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd...051007a&page=3 . If that's not okay, I'll do something else, a cleric or druid or something. I just want to try this thing out, it looks cool. Also, is Grey Elf okay for a race? If not, what about Blue Goblin? Without the LA, though, that's rediculous.
To syllander- Most DMs frown on making up armored robes with no spell failure or anything, and how can you afford that fancy spell book and bracers? |

It actually an armor that can be found in a dragon magizine. I have it somewhere if I can find the episode # I will submit it, of course that is if my wife didn't throw it away. In anycase if it can't be found it will be removed I am not unreasonable. I never use things that are made up. I do remeber how it was worded though. "The robe is made with leather stripping sewen into the fabric that covers the lower half of the body but it free of the arms and chest area making spell casting possible without hinderence from the leather."

Okay, I don't use dragon material normally, most of it's quite overpowered. But how can you afford that fancy spellbook and bracers at level 1?

Have to read the BG, for the reason. I only gave him the +1 bracers due to the game she came from the DM awarded her them for the BG, cause they were normal bracres before. The spellbook was what she tried to rob from her master but he ended up giving it to her in the end. The cost was high, however cause he kicked her out of his tower and banned her from returning to learn from him again. to summerize it. Of course this all be a mute point cause I may not get picked.

Since you said that this world is unknown, I want to play a character who's goal is to make it known.
Sebastian stands a bit more than 5 feet tall, and weighs just a tad more than a hundred pounds. As his race implies, he has grey eyes, grey hair, and rather pale skin. Sebastian couldn't ever decide what he wanted to do with his life. Religion interested him, but being a zealot didn't. Arcana was intriguing, but he lacked the will and funding to go to a school of wizardry. Planes of existance were a mystery he couldn't afford to solve. He was never hardy enough to go dungeon delving, but dungeoneering excited him. Nature was nice, full of refreshing things, but he was too accustomed to the city. History was the key to the future, but he didn't want to be a story teller. Sebastian wanted to Learn. Sebastian wandered the world learning for several years. One day  he found a man praying to every god known to people. When he asked what the man was doing, he said he was reading his prayers. "But don't people just pray to one god?", Sebastian asked. "Well", the man said, " most people do that. However, true enlightenment resides in revering everything, while keeping an objective eye about you." This immediately caught Sebastian's attention. For nine days, Sebastian followed this mysterious man around. His name was Anselmo, and he was the first of the Archivists. On the ninth day, Anselmo left Sebastian, leaving Sebastian his first prayerbook. 178 years into his elven life, Sebastian finally knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to learn. http://rpgcrossing.com/testvb/view.php?id=24130 Last edited by Comp0s Mentis; Oct 11th, 2005 at 11:13 AM. Reason: Cleaning up (I was rushed when I wrote it) |

Well, given the clueless nature of this quest, I have a half-orc sorceror who is hilarious. With a 5 int and 6 wis, he is by all means retarded, even for a half-orc. Right now I have him made as a multiclass level 2, but I have not used him yet. I could strip his barbarian level. I'll do just that and submit him.
