The Trial

Judge Daramid directs the PCs to the Lepidstadt Courthouse, instructing them to register with the court clerks as volunteer defenders for the Beast and then meet with Barrister Gustav Kaple, to offer their assistance in gathering clues to help the Beast’s defense.

Kat and Cronus head for the Courthouse and look for the Clerk's Office to register and then meet with the Barrister and offer to help him.

Kat "We want to help make sure he gets the fairest trial."

Keeshraal

The catfolk returns from a months long trek, scouring the land for a rumored text. Professor Lorrimor instructed him to bring it to the University for safe keeping. Keeshraal noting the excitement in the city - something about trial. He'll look into that later, after handing the book over to the Professor's colleague. Fiinding the University is a simple enough task. He enters the grounds and asks for directions to the Department of Antiquities. There he finds Professor Montaigne Crowl.

"Sir, i have a tome for your safe-keeping. My friend, Professor Lorrimor, instructed me to search for it and bring it here."

The Professor brings you up to date on Professor Lorrimor's untimely death, and the group that has brought him other books.

He mentions they are seeking Judge Daramid.

Keeshraal "How sad. Thank you for informing me. I'll seek out the Judge. The catlfolk leaves and heads for the Courthouse.

"I'm looking for Judge Daramid. I'm a friend of Professor Lorrimor's and just came to the city on an errand for him."

Keeshraal waits until admitted to see the judge, then he explains his last mission for the Professor.

Keeshraal, the clerk eyes you wearily, I do not keep track of the Judge's whereabouts. I'm sure she's preparing for the impending trial.
