Below, you'll find the names and short descriptions of NPCs your characters would probably know of, but probably not know. The majority of these are specific to Alethkar, the kingdom in which your characters currently reside.

Alethi Royalty Gavilar Kholin (deceased): The warlord turned king who united Alethkar. Killed by the Parshendi via the Assassin in White. Navani Kholin: Gavilar's widow and a patron of many scholars focused on fabrial research. Dalinar Kholin: Gavilar's brother and one of the Alethi Highprinces. A fearsome military general known as The Blackthorn. Elhokar Kholin: Gavilar and Navani's son and the reigning king of Alethkar. Jasnah Kholin: Gavilar and Navani's daughter. A genius scholar considered a heretic by the Vorin religion. Torel Sadeas: An Alethi Highprince known for his political and strategic savvy and his calculating nature.

NPCs of Roshar The Assassin in White: Gavilar Kholin's assassin. Vanished after the assassination and has not been seen since. The Nightwatcher: A powerful and mysterious Spren who grants those who seek her out a boon and a curse. Taravangian: The king of Kharbranth. A kindly ruler well-known for his extensive support of hospitals and healthcare.

Bridgemen Jareth: A heavily scarred veteran with a cynical outlook, who only speaks when necessary. Rellin: A wiry youth with a constant grin, despite his pessimism about the mission’s success. Paldor: Quiet and reflective, Paldor serves as the unofficial leader among the bridgemen, offering wisdom from years of survival. Korrin: A former farmer, now thin and hardened by the bridge runs, still dreams of returning to the land. Marik: His sharp tongue often gets him into trouble, but his loyalty to his fellow bridgemen is unquestionable. Doral: A seasoned bridgeman with years of experience, Doral’s stoic demeanor hides a wealth of battlefield wisdom and a deep loyalty to his fellow bridgemen. Aran: Young and idealistic, his inexperience often leaves him unsure in the face of danger. Khesh: A physically strong bridgeman who is slow of whit.

Scholars Isha Kollen: A stern, no-nonsense scholar specializing in ancient texts, with a deep fear of the Voidbringers. Varol Tesh: A gruff, senior ardent known for his obsession with pre-Recreance artifacts and disregard for safety protocols. Kariel: A prodigy in ancient languages, who often annoys her colleagues with her overconfidence and youth. Eliah Matal: A curious and sheltered historian, Eliah’s passion for ancient knowledge often blinds her to the dangers around her.

Scouts Jorrik: Always eager to get ahead of the expedition, Jorrik has a reputation for taking unnecessary risks in the name of discovery. Damen: A scout with an exceptional talent for tracking, though haunted by the loss of his previous scouting party in a highstorm.

Guards Captain Selinar: Harsh and calculating, Captain Selinar leads the expedition with a tight fist, using his authority to instill obedience. Varda: A skilled but cowardly spearman, Varda’s impressive physique contrasts with his tendency to shrink away from true danger. Tomas Harn: A grizzled veteran of many campaigns, Tomas is protective of the scholars and takes his role as a guard very seriously. Loran Fesh: A quick-witted and sarcastic soldier, Loran enjoys banter but is deadly serious when a fight breaks out.
