For what it's worth, I'm also back! Hm, I imagined that more time would pass in-game - but this is better because I didn't miss anything.

I totally did not learn these things from America's only humor and video site.
(as a warning Cracked aka that link is prone to, err, immature and occasionally offensive humor, so the easily offended might just want to take my word for it. Or try this wholesome family link.) The article covers lightning, too, but I might as well link to a non-Cracked site too.

Well I'm gonna be out to a 'Net-less family reunion from 'sometime' Thursday to 'sometime' Saturday/Sunday, and I'll be having live-in company for another five days after that, so I may be sloth-ier than usual. I should only be totally blacked out for the first part, though.

To be honest...
I can't keep pretending that I'm still able to give this game what it deserves. Too much stuff is going on in my real life, and come 9-21 Civilization 5 is out, so it's not like I'll just magically going to have more free time at some point in the future.
This game has been a blast. Everyone has contributed awesome moments. Thanks to AM for being willing to step up and be my straight man, Locust and Allie actually gave us some real story telling, and Teflon provided the needed counterbalance to our super heroics. Please feel free to use Copterman as an NPC. Hopefully he will get the Heroic/Absurdly-Stupid death he deserves. (P.S. he thinks "Teflon's" name is "Tampon", but he's too embarrassed to ever say that word out-loud.) Thanks to everyone, especially our GM Pojo, who did an awesome job weaving this all together. Again, sorry to abandon you guys, but better to admit it and move on... Coptertime ... |

You do not know how lucky you are never to have called Marco that out loud. I mean, that was the single smartest thing Copter-man has ever done. We'll miss you 8th!
Anyway, sorry for my Inactivity, but I've had school, and work, and such things that kept me a bit frazzeled, and I kept ignoring this game in favor of others that moved fast enough to leave me behind.

I really do enjoy being the straight man, so what we had was a great thing. Hopefully life treats you well, and you will be missed. I should be back for the count myself. The family thing didn't go very well (I had no idea the maternal half of my family was just as screwball as the paternal half until now!), but it's over now.

Sooo... What's up, folks? I hadn't realized how much time had passed without anybody posting. It looks like Spy Guy and Hermes have fallen off the face of the Internet (or at least the site) so I assume that means we're pretty much done for here.
Just curious if the remainder have any intent to try to go on or if I should take the game off my subscription list.

I'm here and I have my eye on the game, but we are definitely somewhat crippled and we're not in a place where I feel it would be a good choice to introduce new players. If the two who are left are willing to limp to the end of this act (and if I see movement I will NPC all inactive players until such time as they fall back onto the internet again), we can either put a nice deneoument on it and call it a completed work or I can throw up a re-recruitment ad with a brilliant piece of story to point to. I'm damned impressed with you either way for what everyone did on this game.

Whelp, another month (and change), another post. More topsy-turvyness in real life and a bunch of general nonsense but them's breaks.
Maybe I should have taken more initiative and actually pestered CJ but eh. At this point, I think we're distant enough from the gold that things would feel rather hollow (no offense to your excellent GMing skills). I'm clearing out my subscriptions because it is frankly depressing to see half of them not posted in since mid-October, the rest dated earlier than that, and about half have "by OwenQuillion" under the date. At any rate, this was a great game, and though it was young, it was vibrant and definitely in my DnDOG top three. That's seems like it's not saying much because I apparently have an eye for games that will sputter out and die within the first few rounds of posting, usually from Disappearing DM Disease (DDD), but I did really enjoy it. When stuff, for want of a better term, comes together, it's got dang magical. If any game ever deserved a eulogy it was this one; and I guess that's close enough to a eulogy. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you, Pojo, for facilitating it, and for not mysteriously disappearing on me without a word (I had two red names do this, too. Two.) I noticed during my morose, slumped-over shuffle down memory lane that some of the Forgotten Things threads had been locked and further investigation yielded that you've been poking around with that (how I missed it for two weeks I dunno). I'm still willing - perhaps even eager - to cash in that rain check, should you ever get it underway. I've moved on to greener pastures for my PbPing for the most part, but I'll probably still be checking DnDOG every couple days, so I shouldn't miss the big blinky PM-light, at least. At any rate, I've rambled enough; thanks again.

Alright. Locked up, added an... er... ending, I guess? Lights out, all. It was a pleasure running this with you. Forgotten Things will be announced again when it's ready - or I'll come up with something else.

Heh. Clever.
