Another quick question for everyone, have any of you played the Expedition to Castle Ravenloft module already?

Ehlana and I were in a Ravenloft game before, I don't know if it was that module or not, but the DM got busy shortly after we arrived in the village of Barovia. In fact, Ehlana was a replacement character, so I think she was in that game for... two rounds?

All I remember from it is fighting a vargouille. Althea has never played Ravenloft before, though she has a passing familiarity with the setting. I don't know about Chrystrom, but I think he's fairly new to the setting?

Wee, a posty! Wasn't necessary to try to continue from the previous game thread; I was under the impression we were just going to start fresh. This transition just seems a little awkward, y'know?

Whoa, hey, wait a minute. This...won't work.

See, we made our characters for Dementhlieu, so I know that Coll at least will have absolutely no incentive to stay and help. He's got things to do at home, so he'd just leave and go back to Dementhlieu, and the mists can kiss his currently-bark-covered behind. It'd be better if we started over and I reworked Coll's backstory so that he's living in Barovia instead of Dementhlieu (a minor change, easily made). Otherwise, the whole thing's gonna fall apart without some seriously unpleasant railroading because the party is working at cross purposes, and, well, why make this harder than it has to be?

Yeah I must have been tired or anxious when I posted that, I'm reworking it now to remove the ties from the previous game. Also feel free to Let us know if you are from Barovia or elsewhere.change your backgrounds if necessary as we don't know where the previous DM was going with her character plotlines. Sorry for the confusion everyone.

Nik is from Barovia. Since the game will be taking place there, he'll never have been out of it, though he's traveled across it plenty in his line of work.

(And yes, of course he'll accept the quest. Just gotta give the guy a hard time first about his method of delivery.)

It's been two weeks now... there's really no way to tell if/when he'll be back, and as much as I like him, I'd rather not wait around indefinitely. I suppose it's possible to have five people if he does show up again? In any case, I don't see any reason to wait longer.

I have no doubt that Tacos will be back...eventually. I'd like to say that it'll probably be sooner rather than later, and perhaps that's even likely, but there's not way to really tell. HA and I both have him in our messenger contacts, so if either of us here from him we'll be sure to let everyone know.

Until that time, I say let's fine another player. If Tacos comes back soon enough then a group of 5 shouldn't be too tough to handle I don't think.
