Reserving a post for a character stub:
Half-dragon cleric of Pelor, grew up in the Little Mountains. Since it's relatively close to the Black Tower, he's had lots of bad interactions with undead, but he would be willing to work with a Dread Necromancer as long as they're not, y'know, desecrating human corpses and terrorizing people. (...does the Dread Necromancer raise humanoid corpses, or is it just animals [so far]?) |

I'm the Player of Corvus Crow the Dread Necromancer in the Game. Animals are the only things Corvus has raised so far, that being 3 Worgs and his former horse (which got blown up at the conclusion of the first story arc).
He commands 3 Human Skeletons, which were found then he used his powers to bend them to his will. He has only raised creatures that have either attacked the Party or that he has a claim on (such as his horse) as he is quite resolute in following the law (the bodies being classed as "Spoils of War"). |

There is no Pelor in this world. A lot of campaign material for you to review, including the pantheon. Many good gods to choose from. |

Oh right, right, I had checked out the pantheon earlier. I believe the Phoenix was the most fitting I had seen.

Right will give it until the 19th for new entries. Need to move on soon in the game but so far I'm happy to see some interest.
@Damionovich I can't find your 3rd level feat. @Lancetheman Please remember there are house rules for LA. @onedarkness You are going to get some bonuses from the house rules. Rogue is T4.

@Dieuoffire
I noticed, but I want to confirm: does CR replace the LA value, or add to it? So Half-Dragon would be just 2 LA, right? |

Yes.
LA is too high most of the time. But if you have HD from the race it can't go below that. Also if it is exceptionally powerful race, I reserve the right to add a +1 to it. For example if you have a 4 HD, LA +2, CR 3 monster race, it is just 4. (Usually) A +2 cr template that is LA +3 is just 2. If you have a template that changes based on HD, the template will change your adjustment when you hit the new HD.

Orthos Cassowary, Hunter of Truth Radiant of the Phoenix Homeland: The Little Mountains Description: A tall, golden-scaled half-dragon male. Though well-muscled, it is obvious he does no more exercise or physical training than the bare minimum. His eyes, obsidian pebbles set in a determined face, speak of a deep-seated wisdom and yearning for knowledge. Everything about his appearance evokes brilliance and sunlight, from his attire to the scales he does his best to keep well-kept. Personality: Orthos is a devout follower of the Phoenix, and believes whole-heartedly in its tenets. For when he was younger and in a bad way, a devotee of the Phoenix gave him the chance to change his life. He is a firm believer in second chances, and in all sentient creatures' ability to grab hold of and change their destiny. Thus, he is a generally easy-going man. He can sometimes hyper-focus when the topic of ancient relics comes up, and he can easily spend hours in a library hunting down the most obscure bits of lore. Backstory: Orthos was abandoned as a child--his parents were both humans, with his draconic heritage having been hidden deep within their genealogy. Orthos was the lucky generation to fully inherit the awesome might of his distant ancestor...but he did not feel lucky at all. He was run out of his town, and for almost a decade he survived by his wits and, at times, sheer luck. Eventually, he gathered a group of similarly-dispossessed younglings and created a small gang of ragamuffins. Tiny bandits, they were, roving and stealing. Then came the day that changed his life. It was a heist gone wrong. Orthos had, until then, strictly enforced a zero casualty rule on his gang: No. Killing. But this heist...it all went wrong. It happened so fast, and before he realized it Orthos was standing over a half-dead man, claws dripping with red blood. He would have been a murderer if not for the priest of the Phoenix that was part of the group being robbed. The priest talked down the hysterical Orthos, bandaged the grievously-injured man's wounds, and, in the end, convinced Orthos to change his ways. The man brought him to the Little Mountains, where he inducted Orthos into the cloth of The Phoenix. Since that day, Orthos was part of a family again. Most of his former gang he managed to convince to join the clergy with him. The ones that did not follow him...well, they left on bad terms, and he has not seen them since. Orthos has earned a name for himself within the clergy of the Phoenix within Little Mountains as being particularly zealous both for knowledge and against the undead. Short-Term Goal: Further his understanding of his connection to the Phoenix, for he still considers himself a neophyte in its care. Long-Term Goal: Eradicate the Black Tower Continuous Goal: Find any and all relics of the Phoenix, or of the ancient past. Knowledge is power! ![]() Last edited by LanceTheMan; May 18th, 2023 at 11:15 PM. |

So the party is actually wanting to be a little bigger. So I am happy to announce I will be able to take Brida and Radiant Dawn into the campaign.
Damionovich and LanceTheMan, I will have up an introductory post for each of you soon. As you are separate from the others right now I am going to start you, separately but will probably bring you two together soon, then into the party soon after. Damionovich: Does Brida have a reason for adventuring? What is she looking for? LanceTheMan: I do use encumbrance and you can have some gold in your pocket to begin with. Please post your characters in the Characters section you can secret the links for the actual sheet (as long as I can get to the anyway). Welcome to the game.
