so Totemist 2/Incarnate 1 is fine? Or just Totemist 3?

I was thinking of being a human (totemist 2/incarnate 1) from the Poison Woods. I haven't gotten much farther than that as I was waiting for confirmation on the class still. ^//^

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding still because I'm not all that familiar with using monsters as characters, but if I played a Githzerai would I just be a 2nd level character because their CR of 1 gives them an ECL of +1 or would it mean that I'd be level 3, but my first level would be Githzerai which would be d8 HD, High Base Attack Bonus, Strong Fortitude save, and 2+INT skill points?

Ermine: totemist /incarnate is fine.
Orichulum: I know some American history, but must have forgotten his name when making that one. I knew it sounded familiar.
Smeowlin: it is a +1 CR. So level 2 character and +1 ECL. The MM uses an npc class (warrior) so they are a cr 1at first level. Githzeri is a template with a cr+1 adjustment.

I'm thinking my character, Caelynn, will be delivering medicine (or poison. Same thing at high doses) as the story begins. Don't know where yet. Depends where we all want to meet, I guess.

Also, I have an image in mind for her already.

Thinking of keeping the illiteracy from totemist, even though taking incarnate removes it. Unless people in the Poison Woods are particularly literate?

Poison Woods is not a recognized nation and there are a few more illiterate people there but it is not common. If you are going to be from there I might suggest the hardy trait, the poison resistance feat, or the great fortitude feat (maybe all of them?). The characters from poison woods have a reputation to hold up.

Please be careful what links you post to copyrighted content. WOTC does not provide an Open Gaming License to a lot of their content, and while the link here does say it is a variant (meaning fan-created content), that doesn't mean it's not 90% copyrighted material. I'll allow this for now simply because I don't have access to the DLCS book. If I find it and this is just a direct copy/paste of copyright content, the link will have to go. (This isn't just me or the site nitpicking, WOTC tends to be very aggressive about their copyrights, and if we were to get sued, the site would probably shut down; we're entirely volunteer admin/mods and the only income we have from CSes goes straight into our site maintenance costs.)

Orichulum, try tiefling as a keyword. There are a lot of sensual but not explicit tiefling images out there, and they range from human-with-horns to what I'd consider a full demon. I appreciate you keeping the site rules in mind.

Crimson, there are probably members with better photoshop skills, if you were to create a thread in General Discussion asking about such a thing with links to images you had found which suit your concept except for the tattoo, I bet someone might be able to help you out.

Orichulum: Stormwall is the Capital of Stormbreak. It is a large metropolis that is a center of trade. The people are polite (that always helps with making deals) and culturally accepting, as in they want visitors to be comfortable so that business may go forward. they don't mind differing view, as long as you don't cross the line. Justice is harsh because it is hard to tell how far reaching an incident may be. (Mug a random person and they could be a national representative, that could change the entire economic field.) However they also believe everything has a price. Meaning that the rich get away with more than they should, but if they do too much they very quickly stop being rich... and they don't take kindly to debtors not being able to pay up.

How are we handling ability scores? Rolling, using an array, point-buy...?

Also noted about Stormwall. Would be a good place to deliver medicine/poison.

Claudine, Paladin of Phoenix Name: Claudine Homeland: Stormwall Class: Paladin Race: Human // Succubus Motivation: Find a cure to prevent herself from succumbing to the demonic essence within her soul. Description: Claudine is in her late teens with a well-toned figure, short roughly cut brown hair and piercing blue eyes. Despite her best efforts, the pious paladin radiates sensuality and primal appetite. She tries to keep focused on her faith and mission, but an internal furnace of passion rages inside fed by vice and indulgence. Even wearing concealing clothes or her armor feeling itchy and oppressive making each morning an act of will for Claudine to clad herself in steel. Most mornings she overcomes her burdens and can carry on, but on rare occasions, Claudine loses a day and a tiny bit of herself trying to satiate her hunger for carnal pleasure. Claudine is perfectly capable of fighting without her armor and generally finds it burdensome, but also hides within it with the hopes that it will dampen the innate sensual presence which she now commands. Each moment within the fitted steel is a burden itself, not just because of the weight but also because of its symbolism to her. Other than her armor, Claudine carries and fights with two longswords, one of which is much older and is marked with age and used. This was her mentor's blade, which she continues to wield in his name. Her fingernails are strong and sharp enough to carve wood, but Claudine keeps them filed and shaped with a whetstone. She could easily rend flesh with them, but the very idea of doing so is abhorrent to the young paladin - she would only lash out with her bare hands in the desperate of moments. History: Still young when her family died, all that she knows is that they were poor farmers from the outskirts of Stormwall. She was raised in an orphanage where each meal was earned through work for the household until old enough to be turned over to a monastery. It was during these formative years that Claudine was introduced to basic combat and self-defense required to protect the monastery; an art form that she threw herself into. In doing so, she attracted the attention of Drake Wolfe, a renowned paladin of Phoenix, who took her under his wing as a squire and eventually shield bearer. From the first day and onward, Drake expected Claudine to assist him in all manner of task and conflict, forcing her to quickly rise to the occasion. It was during a pitched battle at a keep against the demon queen Asariel that three fates were sealed. Claudine was already laying on the floor bleeding out, and Drake was channeling the last of his strength to obliterate all of the nearby demonic essences. Facing utter destruction, Asariel abandoned her physical form and buried herself within Claudine's soul, using the young paladin's purity as a haven from the elder paladin's spell. Claudine later woke to the keep having been purified with Drake and Asariel slaying one another. It wasn't until after burying her mentor that the pangs of hunger for vice first began to manifest. Since that day, Claudine does her best to resist temptation as she seeks a cure for her affliction, but her adventures only seem to speed the rate that the two resident souls within her fuse into one. Mechanics Character Sheet WIP Notes: Intentionally capping BAB and hit die progression. Also, I opted for relatively low wisdom (especially for a paladin) to represent her internal struggles with Asariel's essence.
