Excited to be here! I'll follow Jondera's example and get up a character sheet asap.

To answer Jondera's question: All of them. It was a chippin' disaster. The hamster population, however, emerged completely unscathed.

mad_gondsman, I have a question about starting equipment. Toliver is starting play with the Scribe Scroll feat. If I pay the requisite cost (12.5 gp for any he can make) out of our generous starting funds, can he begin play with some scrolls he's assumed to have scribed himself? I'll understand if you want me to make a DC 6 Spellcraft check here or elsewhere for each one I'd like to have had him craft. He'll be at +5 to Spellcraft rolls from taking a rank in a trained skill and from his Classically Schooled trait, so he'd have to roll a 1 to fail the check (thus missing by 5 and creating the possibility of a cursed scroll, so maybe you want to do the rolls if rolls are required). He'll have enough money to craft a total of four.
Edited to correct some math on his Spellcraft bonus and to take the possibility of cursed scrolls in to account). Last edited by Colonel Crow; Dec 22nd, 2011 at 12:44 PM. Reason: See text |

Edited last post (on the scrolls) for clarification.

Sure, that's fine. You can craft as many as you can afford.
Also, for training one rank of a class skill, you should at least have a +4, without any ability modifiers. Pathfinder grants a +3 bonus to trained class skills. I'd also allow you to take 10 if he has access to a comfortable working environment with no distractions, so no need for a roll. On a side note, I have no problem with anyone's choice in traits, but they are an excellent opportunity to tweak a class that typically does not have access to a particular skill. I have a wilder sorceress from Narfell that took the Child of Nature trait so that she could claim Survival as a class skill, reflecting her being raised in the Endless Wastes, far from civilization. It has made a world of difference and opened up a lot of versatility for role playing the character, particularly in a wilderness campaign. |

Hey all, looking forward to playing with you…and seeing who else will be joining our merry band.
Working on my CS… Question for you mad: What xp rate are we going with (slow, med, fast…so I know what to put on my sheet)?

We're using the fast track.
And yeah, it was sad, but at least Narlgathra got all of the singing ones. That was getting annoying. |

That's all reflected on his now public character sheet, which is complete but for the four scrolls he can afford. I'll add those as soon as I've figured out what they are. Last edited by Colonel Crow; Dec 22nd, 2011 at 02:19 PM. Reason: style |

Okay, character sheet updated with reduced money reflecting the addition of scrolls (one each) of Ant Haul, Comprehend Languages, Endure Elements, and Magic Weapon. Thanks again.

The consummate adventurer!
