Hi folks! I'm excited to be adventuring with you all.
![]() Fragmaster, I had a couple quick questions about character creation since I'm starting to mull over the details. First, do we get two traits as usual or are they already baked into our "brand"? Second, how do you treat metamagic rods? Does a character have to wield them in a hand to use them, and if so can they be stuck into a weapon hilt or somesuch?" Question of my own:
How do we handle wizard spells known? Do I buy scrolls with my Wanna? Do I get X free spells, representing time in the infernal libraries?

Come across the first big problem with my character...
Oracle takes up two full rows of spells. No more room left for wizard spells prepared. T_T

Sir Alex: No traits, but yes favored class bonus. Knew I forgot something.
As for metamagic rods, you have to wield them to get the effect, and you can't stick them into another weapon. That said, if you want Evoke:Metamagic on your one super item, I'm all ears. Moridain: Hmm. Let's go with:
You have a third row of spells left, right? ![]() Looking at it, you should only have 29 spells from level 10 Oracle. That's only one column of the spell list, if you don't skip spaces. Scrunch it all in!

Actually Oracle has 34 spells. You forgot the bonus spells granted by the Mystery, and the free Inflict spells.
And sweet about the extra spells known. Any objection to me spending even more Wanna on additional spells known? Eh, hide the inflicts and it does fit. Worth the space save.

I remembered the free Mystery spells, but not the inflict ones. Still, make it fit! *scrunch* At later levels, you can probably just throw the cantrips down into your Notes, to make room for higher level spells.
And yes, you can spend Wanna to learn more Wizard spells.

Make sure to grab rings of sustenance, time seems to be of the essence.

Just noticed we have a Paladin in the party. Is his code of conduct going to be a problem?
If you want I can play my former demonic nature down, constantly keep Undetectable Alignment on and claim to just 'use dark magic to fight evil!' rather than being a devil myself.

Saving the world takes priority over killing someone of questionable intent. Just as your application points out Lawful Evil =/= Stupid, Lawful Good =/= Zealous.
Scimmy: Your sheet isn't public. Sir Alex: That CHA>Saves makes me cry. I'm never gonna hit her with something that isn't a touch attack.

I agree about the evil issue. I'm thinking this setting counts as an "exceptional" circumstance per the rulebook. After all, it's hard to scourge the world of evil when the entire universe has been destroyed. It's up to you, Moridain. It could be very fun to RP the situation. I'm already getting ideas...
@Frag: I'm sure you'll find a way. ![]() Last edited by Sir Alex; Sep 14th, 2012 at 03:54 PM. |

Meh, lets go straight. I like the idea of the arguments we will have when we catch someone and my guy wants to magically rape their minds and torture facts from them and you rather dont.
