Hey tealc can you post character creation rules? Hip points, point buy vs. rolling for stats, whether traits are allowed, etc?

Ability Stats: 19 point buy. BOOM!
Traits: Not allowed. Core Rulebook Rules only please
HP: Max starting
Spells, skills + feats: CRB or APG allowed
Money: 35GP from the college + 3d4 X 10 savings for all players
Gear: I'm flexible on this. If it's in the CRB or APG you can buy it.

Anything else just ask!

This will be my first time playing in a Pathfinder game - so far from what I read I really like the differences between it and 3.5e (even though I only had one game of that as well) though, like the Sorcerer bloodlines. This should be fun.

edit: So i'm guessing the only part I can draw from the Advanced Players Guide are feats, skills and spells (that much is obvious), but not alternative class features and the such? I didn't really intend that anyway, but it might be nice to know.

Once we've finished the first module, you guys can knock yourselves out and use whatever you want from the APG.

I only got the APG myself recently and I've only just allowed my real life players to use it, so I want to wait until I know it a bit better. Just one less thing to think about.

19 PB? That's an odd number.

Any restriction on lowering below 10?

I've simply changed my race due to survivability/personality reasons. Nothing drastically game affecting yet. Other than that, I believe I'm set. Minus purchases. And a Clock-Work Orange.

There's a story behind it but it's highly classified. No restrictions on going below 10.

BTW is it smarter to build a monk with Agile Maneuvers and build more Dex build, or scrap that and just go Strength build?

I don't do fighting but i can play you at Mario Kart ;-)

I think the monk would work either way as long as you commit. That's the thing about monks, they have no single heavy bias. I'd go for Dex build and just don't neglect strength.

Apart from that, remember to train every day at the temple, punch trees and carry buckets of water for your master!

If a feat says I need 3 ranks in a certain skill, does that mean I need 3 I have placed, or 3 in total including my bonuses? I ask because it said online I could choose a style, but all the styles say I need 3 ranks or to be lvl 3.

Also being a Monk can I use the UC for feats? Literally 50% of my feats are in UC.
