I've heard of it, but I'm not sure exactly what it does/how it works.

It's a virtual tabletop. It's free to use.
The players will be able to move their own characters around the battle map.

Its browser based, you dont have to install anything.

It should make things easier on me, and I'll be able to update battles from anywhere.

Hm...a lot of stuff on there. Could be worth a try, I guess. But we can still do the battles not-live, right?

Yeah. It would be close to how we do it now, at least as far as you all are concerned.
You would make your rolls here and post your actions, then on roll20, you would move your own character tokens, and in the chat box put a short description of what you did ie "moved and attacked raider".
After everyone has done their turn, I'll post the results here, just like normal.

Sorry guys, I've been without internet at home for the past week.
From what I gather, someone doing construction in my area put a backhoe bucket through one of my ISP's main wire bundles in my neighborhood and it took them way too long to fix it.
