I've elected for the Armband Cocoon. I've also had something of an epiphany about one Córdula/Lavinia and will be alterting a bit of her sheet and A LOT of what her original personality/background was going to be. This changes the character quite a bit, but is much better in my opinion. Expect everything to be finished far sooner than later.

Unlike Hydra, my sheet will be finished later, not sooner. I simply can't make my brain process mechanics while pounding this badly. I don't know how long the withdrawal-triggered migraine will last, I've had them last three weeks and that's IF I don't miss any more pills due to nausea.

Aeternis, if the two of them are ready before I am, I would not take it personally if you started for them alone, in fact I might encourage the idea. While Mina's personality and RP are all finished and could be used in-game, the mechanics are going to take me some time and I don't want to hold up the game for the other two. It may even make it easier to work Mina in after their activity/relationship is established in-game. Your preference, obviously, but I thought I'd make my position known. Tell me what you'd like me to do and I'll do it.

Don't worry too hard there Aeth, it looks like I'm going to be making a new character from scratch instead of playing Cordula. Still waiting on DM approval, but either way it doesn't look like you'll have to rush.

Oh whew. That helps me for sure. Who's the new character, or what's the concept, anyway? I'm curious/nosy.

I assume Cordula's going to be Gav's cohort or follower, whatever applies. I still like the various ideas we've come up with for throwing Gav and Mina together, though the vigilante justice would likely expand nicely if Gav and Mina both targeted nasties who in turn were targeting Hydra's character? Even if Hydra's character was baiting gang members for his/her own enjoyment, it wouldn't matter much, the two vigilante-happy PCs would still only see a lone victim until he/she started fighting back.

Hehe. Yeah, Athena and I butted heads over creative issues (as we've been known to do every now and then) and have thus resolved that my own interpretation of Cordula doesn't really match what Athena envisioned when she created the character. So instead I've decided to play, as I put it to Athena, a "cocky, loudmouth, skirt-chasing cowboy".

Cocky loudmouths (not to mention skirt-chasers, and certainly cowboys) tend to run afoul of folks every so often. Should serve just fine for baiting a few gang members and then some.

Still waiting on Aeternis for his response to this. That didn't stop me from drawing up the entire sheet already though...

Heh. Well, as far as my experience goes, Aeternis shouldn't object to the concept on any of the descriptors you mention. How you define 'cowboy' might be a cause for contention, given that it's his setting and too much influence in a different direction might make things complicated. But otherwise, sounds like fun.

In fact, what does he do for fun? Because Mina has a history of refusing cocky loudmouths that would make for a fun evening pre-game. Even the same evening, at that. Just because she's from out of town with a gang of mercenary monster hunters (in town for certain supplies you can't just get anywhere), doesn't mean she wouldn't have been propositioned by someone already. Might make a wonderful excuse for her to slip away and go play vigilante... in the "anything but this" mentality. I'm actually quite pleased with that idea, I think I'll keep it, whether you want to play the guy in question or not. Gives her an extra incentive to not just turn away and go back where she came from if she's actively avoiding someone.

What's the build? I've been second guessing my mechanics for awhile now, and I think I've rewritten my feats list at least four times. So having a hint of what your PC's strengths will be would help me make decisions. The problem with the archaeologist class is that I always legitimately want to take all the options, rather than pick. It's just an awesome class like that. Even the concept has it's fault, since I've already said I want her to be a member of a hunter group, yet play vigilante too...

Sooner or later I'll learn. (Yes, I know I've said that before.)

Sounds like a good way for Mina and [Unnamed] to meet. Maybe then you two can answer a 'jack of all trades' wanted ad. A much better way to form an association than meeting a hunting vampire on the prowl.

Plus, it has the advantage of, if you find out his secret. "Kill me or quit the job, and you won't get paid."

Our boy's name is Denny Souther. He's a full-out 8 levels of crossbowman (fighter archetype). Denny's not originally from The Inheritance, but one of the outlying regions. He used to be a member of a military group of some kind, but got kicked out for reasons I'll properly disclose in his background. He's been hanging around The Inheritance ever since working as a mercenary. Denny's the kinda guy that'll take most any job so long as the money's right. He doesn't mind putting a few holes in a few folks to get paid either. Denny's also got a tendency to shoot his mouth off and get himself in trouble. I'm thinking he probably got on the bad side of some of the local hoods and they see fit to jump him in an alley. Maybe Mina swoops in to whoop some hoodlum ass and she and Denny have themselves an impromptu team-up?

I'll be working on his background and general character over the next couple days. Sheet's all done, and now I'm just trying to find an appropriate pic...

Fer the record, I imagine him looking like a young Michael Biehn with darker complexion and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth.

Hi guys, I've got a question for you. I'm having trouble picking between the special items Aeternis gave me, because one really speaks to who she is currently, while another speaks to who she could be. If Mina's going to continue on as a [monster] hunter, often in the wilderness, even as a wilderness support/guide while Gav searches for an heir (etc), I should pick one. If I should be pushing for Mina coming into her own, realizing she has noble blood and making a play in support of Gav's desire to see the Inheritance united... then I should pick the other.

It's quite a problem because I have no idea what's going to happen to us once we get tossed together.
