Kohana was pleased that her music offering had lightened the mood, even if only temporarily. Every little bit helped, but she knew that her efforts were going to have to be ongoing.
The young woman notes their “welcome” to port. Corruption waits for no-one here, she thinks sardonically. In fact, it comes right to your door, or gang-plank, as the case may be. Several silver bangles jingled on her arm, as she tucked stray strands of chestnut hair back behind her ears, while she watched the exchange. It was a light, pleasant sound that usually accompanied the young woman when she moved. Preparing to accompany Nerra into the town, she waits at a discreet distance while Nerra deals with Shandar. The Bard was still learning about the individuals on board, and it seemed that Nerra was a sort of pseudo-parent to the girl. Just as well someone with good sense is looking out for her. This is no place for a tender young morsel to be wandering around, perhaps even with an escort, she mused, gazing out beyond the docks to the town and the sea of peoples there. "So, where to first, Nerra?" Kohana asked, once the cat-like woman was finished dealing with her ward. |

Once she was sure her adopted daughter wasn't going to leave the ship or challenge those staying behind, Nerra straightened. "To be honest, I don't have a whole lot to go on," the feline female said. She turned to face the slightly shorter woman. "The first thing we need to do is find a tavern, inn, brothel, etc. that has a silloette of a horned and tailed woman. Once we find that, hopefully I'll be given more information."

The elf chuckles and adjusts his clothes and waits for Nerra a sense of mirth in his eyes. "Never thought of proper hygiene as a punishment myself, then again for some it might just be." His hand rests close to his sword listening to her whispers to his mind as she speaks to him, mostly in disgust of their current conditions. she was noble of heart and trafficking with pirates rubbed her the wrong way to begin with.
"A silhouette of a horned and tailed woman?" Oh this will not end well, the elf though touching Ebon Heart Culling as if to calm the blade down before trouble began. Probably just a picture of a Tiefling. Nope that didn't make her feel better. "Well we can either ask around town for one of the three each. After all if we came in trying to find it asking about all three it might raise suspicions." He thinks for a moment, "I suppose it would seem less suspicious and raise fewer questions if I inquired about the tavern or brothel."

Cadriana opted to stay behind and look after the ship while others left to run their errands. Her concern for Frosty getting the better of her she makes her way down the ship and into the freezer to see for herself just exactly how bad the situation looked. She walks up to the freezer and as her hand touché the door she thinks to herself, Please let it just be my imagination, please just be alright. With her nerves settled she finally opens the door.

"For her it is." Nerra walked down the gangway and stopped just on the edge of the crowd. "You two coming? It'll take us a little while to find what we're looking for." She quietly asked a few of the spirits nearby for help thinning the crowd. Soon, ghost soundsounds of gunfire rang out across the docks. Once the crowd thinned enough for her to move about without getting jostled every step, she set out into the city of Port Prince in search of the tavern or whatever that should have the Demon Sword within.

Since she sought to blend just now, Kohana was clad as an average traveler, and the only things about her that might stand out were the silver hoops in her ears and bangles at her wrists. Still, silver was not uncommon, and would not attract the attention of gold. She wore her long chestnut hair in a simple plait down her back, and she walked with as relaxed a gate as possible out into this unknown port, following Nerra’s lead.
”Perhaps…, but perhaps not,” the Bard replied to the elf with a saucy grin. She knew well that taverns and brothels could have female patrons as well as male. ”Right with you," Kohana replied to Nerra, as the crowd seemed to thin conveniently before them. Handy that! |

By the freezer:
Cadriana opens the door to the freezer- the door that should never be opened without Thamuz's permission. And without a net or something to keep the mephit from getting out and causing chaos, as he's done once before. But there is no movement within. Water drops from the shelves that previously held ice. The smell of spoiling fish and other items- best- kept- cold catches Cadriana's nose. She digs about spoiling foodstuffs and comes across the small sunken form of the mephit. Frosty's wrinkled body turning a dull gray with brown under his eyes and throat. He still breathes, his small lungs filling of fluid. A little dew drips from his tiny pointy nose as the creature weakly puts its hand on Cadriana's finger. Struggling to breath, he closes his ice blue eyes. On the docks: A path opens before Nerra, Kohana, and Linath as people on the docks look to see where the 'shots' are from. They make haste and find themselves on a sand and gravel road. They can go south along the docks from here, in the direction Carlton Weatherby went, north along the docks in the direction Thamuz, Clydus, and William went. Or take the road they have discovered eastward along Old Shanty Street to the heart of the city, or head toward The Breakers where the road cuts northwest and the buildings get bigger and the inlets from the sea are used by those preferring to boat their way about. Thamuz's Search: Clydus casually leads you north along the docks. He seems sure of where to take you. Occasionally people bump into you or try to stop you. A prostitute with one leg asks if you've bedded a cripple before. She grins at you with green teeth. You press on. A woman tries to get you to give her William. She tells you that she just wants to burrow the boy. You press on. A man with ferrety eyes tries to sell you some narcotic. You begin to respond when Clydus tells him to "Piss off". After about an hour of walking, your old mate stops by a bridge that spans an inlet, the water dark and deep seeming. Almost there. This guy has the best prices for airship crystals. Trust me. |

Thamuz, annoyed with the advances at himself and his son, and just a tad curious as to that narcotic, looks to Clydus. "Wha's 'e loik, this guy? 'E tall, shaved 'ead, big ol' beahd? Dendanian?" He moves William a little closer to his side and tells him to keep an eye open and to mind his pockets.

"My guess is this inn place we seek if it's an Inn or Tavern will be near the heart of the city. That makes the most sense to me I think." The elf says as he rubs his chin thinking. "Normally a brothel would be on the outskirts of town, to be less intrusive. Chances are they stuck to tradition so as not to confuse people. So my vote is to head to the heart of the town first and check around there."

"A moment if you please?" Nerra closed her eyes and recalled her third vision. Opening her eyes, she started in the Following the vision as much as possible. If the water was on her right in the vision, then that's the side it's on now.general direction that she had been walking in her vision. "If my visions are correct it should be this way. At the very least, we should run into someone who might be able to point us in the correct direction."

Nerra and her companions begin to head south along the docks in the direction that Carlton Weatherby went. The docks seem more crowded in this direction as well. Slavers and con artists litter the path. Prostitutes and beggars post themselves at various intervals trying to get your attention...or purses. Weatherby is well out of site, but you can see other sailors wending their way towards a number of dubious- looking buildings. As you continue, Nerra suddenly stops and shakes her head. Not sure, she points toward a road that skirts the city docks and heads toward a slightly hilly area where the buildings are more spread out. There are fewer people about here and it is somewhat sinister with dark buildings, a few tall willow trees along the shore behind you, and smoke from a number of small fires where homeless and gypsy folk have set camp. Bandits as well, you are sure. At this point, you are sure there are eyes watching you. Nerra's fur rises and her ears flicker uncomfortably. This place feels so wrong but looks so right.
You ladies look too perty toi be oight here alones, a small man with dirty hair and a ferrety expression approaches you. He has atleast two friends with him. Both men are muscular and heavily tattooed. One has short hair and large looping ear rings. The other has long dirty blonde hair and a skull necklace. All three men are the type you don't bring home to mom. Perhaps we coi helps you find wha ya noid. Perhaps we goi it. says the long-haired man with a nasty smile that says he thinks he has what you need. Apparently, none of the three notice that Linath is a male. Thamuz: Clydus gives you a casual glance and continues onward. Oi dun wanna spoil no surprise. He pauses only once during your walk to stop and lite a smoke. He offers Thamuz a coffin nail and offers William one. Kids a freak'n man now, Thamuz. We should find him a lady or two s'well. He smiles showing off brown teeth and that ever mischievous grin you knew him for. We almost there. Hope you dun moind goiten little slimy an wet. |

Should have seen if I could get Razor to come with us, Nerra thought, her ears flat against her head. She studied the men before her. "Look, unless you can point us in the direction of the Demon Sword, I doubt that you can help us," she said politely. Nerra strongly hoped that she wouldn't have to do anything drastic, but just incase, she slowly slipped her left hand into the pouch that was behind her left hip. What's something that might scare these fools off? "Be ready. If I can talk them down, I will, but just incase, be ready to act," she told her companions softly.

Nerra,Linath,Kohana:
You ain't list'n ta moi. You ladies oi too perty ta be alone. The short man seems a bit angered. The stocky man with the earrings licks his lips and grabs his crotch. Ain't had a nice like lady in a woil, Lark. Think'n that red - aired sweaty needs some love'n. Blimey. Dar be three ladies. Un for each. And Woody likes 'em afters. The blonde says. The three men advance. They seem rather confident. Ok. I need Perception checks, Initiative, and first round actions. These guys are a little drunk but they won't go easy on you. Don't mess around. You could get hurt. In your combat posts, please make note of your ACs and flat-footed ACs. Also specify your combat actions if any. |

Nerra pulled her hand free of her pouch. In it was a smallish pendant. "Come forth hell hounds and defend me!" As soon as she finished speaking, two huge, reddish-brown wolves appeared in front of her. Each exhaled a breath of fire.
Good. Now to summon in my glaive, she thought, slipping her necklace about her neck.
