Don't bother with Quick Draw, just clogs things up too much to say "sorry you don't have your sword drawn yet!" If you get surprised I'll just make you flat footed, but you can have a weapon out. As for Endurance, not in this campaign! Run is okay, but honestly a large amount of the major set piece encounters are indoors.

Do you want to go the two-weapon fighting with sword/spiked shield route? Doable as pure fighter, and you could 'reskin' the shield to have a bladed edge if you prefer. As a human you could take Two Weapon Fighting, Improved Shield Bash and something like Double Strike (apply x1 str to offhand attacks, not x1/2). The Brawler archetype is good for pushing people around and getting up in their face, or the Shielded Fighter for something really solid. If you take a light spiked shield it may only be 1d4 damage, but you'll be hitting a lot more attacks at early levels than a heavy one.

Fighters have a lot of choices in Pathfinder, its one of the reasons I like the system so much. I wouldn't worry so much over your skills though, you'll be getting at least 3 per level. Knowledge Dungeoneering, Survival and another of your choice perhaps? I try to find uses for whatever people pick and not punish them for not having a 'party face'. I'd rather roleplay an encounter with a guard than say "well you got a natural 20, so he lets you in and gives you his daughter too."

Actually just foind this out a couple of days ago. For skill check rolls a natural 1 is not an automatic failure and a nat 20 is not an automatic success! Sweet so no quick draw feat needed that means you can dual wield throwing daggers! :-)

I've never seen a situation where moving that far in combat was necessary. The way I see it, Run is useful for chase scenes and running leaps, or maybe racing against a trap (like a giant boulder rolling down the hall at you).

I wasn't particularly considering it this time, but it was a prime example of a potentially-useless feat.

It works best with archers for finding cover and concealment as well as getting away from melee, as in even if they run they wont catch up with you if you alternate with shot on the run and run. Which is why I think elves can get it as part of an alternate trait.

I'm pretty sure I've got him built about to where I want him for the moment. If I changed anything, it would be to exchange Alertness for Self-Sufficient (which should give you an idea of why I'm concerned about his skills). Or maybe Weapon Focus for Two-Weapon Fighting, but I can spec into all that cool shield stuff later. For the moment, I want his character sheet to match his background - even if all that is a secret. :P

But since my current post is going to use Perception, I think that feat choice is made. Added a link to his character sheet. I think everything's in order there.

So question, do people mind if I share information between characters as I think is appropriate? For example if Rone picks up on the way a person is feeling from Sense Motive do you mind if I just add "you notice she seems weary" or would you rather I only let Doverian know and he can follow up on that if he wishes? Same for any Knowledge checks, it would speed things up if I can just say "Alun knows that the tower was first built in XXXX to defend against hobgoblins before being torn down to make way for a new highway" rather than waiting for Zevonian to log on and share it with the group.

Some people have issues with the DM possessing their character briefly, so if you do speak up. Its fine I promise, and if I ever make you do/say something you disagree with tell me!

Also I tend to check in a lot on the weekend, don't fear if the action is moving a little faster than you expected because I've posted two or three times. I'll make sure everyone gets the chance to pop their head in!

Theh are called TT tags. You can use them by typing a word highlighting it and then press the red button with the double Ts. Then type in what you need.

If the information isn't immediately urgent, Rone probably won't share it until he needs to. So that could be hit-or-miss for me. He also generally acts before he speaks, which means that his method of "sharing information" could be "acting on that information and explaining later."



EDIT: I also don't know why my rolls were marked as edited. That's weird. I guess the dice roller freaks out sometimes. I know that if I were going to bother cheating, I wouldn't have given myself those results. :P But yes! TT tags are awesome. The in-site editor has a quick button for them, too. It's that red circle with two black Ts in it, right next to the buttons for dice and secret text.

I'm good with having Alun just tell anyone that doesn't go with him what happens at Hunclay's.
So if everyone wants to avoid fussing over secret text for at least that part of the game, I'm good with it.

@Khalil: Just so we know what to expect, or not expect, when next we see your character...has your PC used a mutagen in front of the party before? I'm guessing not, but since we didn't detail much in the way of previous travel, I figure I should ask now.
