I'm basically treating it as an improvised shield, it has all the advantages of a heavy shield and all the disadvantages of a tower shield. i.e. it's terribly inefficient.

Meh at least the important stuff automatically resizes anyway. I've never been a fan of magic armor or shields just for that reason.

Now my ac reflext my lack of tower shield, or any shield for that matter, but I will still have mr ifrit carry the leftovers, they are worth pretty decent money if we find a shop, or we can barter them for something if we find some locals.

Countering and Dispelling are two different things.

Countering: This is a counterspell action. i.e. by readying an action to counterspell and successfully identify a spell as it's being cast you can use a prepared (or known) version of that spell or dispel magic or a spell that specifically notes that it counters the spell being cast. Counterspelling only works with genuine spellcasting. Spell-like or Supernatural abilities do not confer the skills to counterspell.

Dispelling: This is a dispel action i.e. the casting of Dispel Magic Scratch that. Found this FAQ. JKTrickster was right, Jack wins the race by a noticable margin then.

Dispel Example: You are a 5th-level wizard, your opponent is a 6th-level sorcerer. On her turn, the sorcerer casts slow and targets 6 of your allies; all 6 of them fail their saves and are slowed. On your turn, you cast haste and target 5 of your allies; this automatically dispels (no caster level check needed) the slow spell on those allies, leaving them without the effect of slow or haste (your 6th ally is still affected by slow). Note that this does not merely suppress the slow effect for the duration of your haste—the effect is completely dispelled on those 5 allies. Note that it doesn't matter if the target would normally get a saving throw or spell resistance to negate or avoid the spell used to dispel (such as casting slow to dispel an already-caste haste); to speed up gameplay and prevent lopsided applications of this sort of dispelling, the "diametrically opposed" spell automatically dispels its opposite, regardless of the desires of the creature affected by the opposite.

Essentially you've got about two days walking (half a day's flying, given the lack of a terrain penalty). I'll put the move into action around this time tomorrow if I don't hear dissent.

Just remember that when you go a-wandering through the wilderness you may come upon creatures within.

Running into a dragon in the forest, not a bad body to have... now I just need to get two days rest in so my level isn't all sideways then I can get a nice warm dragon body. Also my followers have to walk so Frask is going to be walking with them... well they are going to be walking he is going to be floating along.

Wait I think we might have glossed over something. Is it possible to Mind Switch with something that doesn't have a "mind"?

Because the whole Mind Switch entry makes it sound like Death makes the whole process unable to be completed. I'm pretty sure this has to be done while both targets are still alive and still have a soul.

Otherwise the power can't even target it since its not a creature anymore - just an object.
