Old Jack chuckled:"You'll need more than a few shiney arrows to beat that one. She's been shooting those arrows since I was but a young hoy. And that is longer ago than I wish to remember!"
He continued cleaning up the area that now was littered with the garbage from the onlookers. "But Savah can help you with the arrows. She has a shop only a few streets east from here, southwest to the new church. But she ain't sell those cheap. You'll need over a hundred gold ones for twenty of 'm." Old Jack pointed Grauwerd in the direction of Savah's armory. Within the shop he found the arrows he wanted and than headed out towards the inn Shalelu had mentioned, the Rusty Dragon. He arrived in the right street shortly after the loud crack had sounded, indicating the moment had come for the offical opening of Sandpoint's new cathedral. Before him, Grauwerd saw and heard creatures that seemed out of place. Several goblins were on the doorstep of the Rusty Dragon, rushing inside carrying weapons and singing a song of battle. Grauwerd buys 10 masterwork arrows from his prize money, a fitting use for the money. With the new arrows in his quiver and his bow still ready on his shoulder, he walks towards the inn where he expects to share a drink with his leven opponent from the archery contest.
When he sees the goblins singing and swaying their weapons and hears the words of their song, he feels there is something wrong. In one move he takes his bow from his shoulder and a new arrow from his quiver. Although in a hurry, he takes his time to shoot, carefull not to hit bystanders. As always, Grauwerd's arrow hit the familiar but nonetheless annoying target. A goblin's head is easy picking, but for some reason this particular one had chosen to put a wooden bowl on top of it. Grauwerd's arrow had pierced the bowl and scratched the creature's skull but no more than that. Grauwerd did manage to obtain it's full attention though.
AAAAYYYYHHHHHAAA!!! GOBLIN BITE AND LONGSHANK FIGHT GOBLIN CRY AND LONGSHANK DIE!! With these words the mad creature ran towards Grauwerd on its tiny legs. Between him and the elf there were toppled wooden benches and tables still covered with plates filled with all sorts of foods brought in for the many guests of the festival. The same guests that had fled in terror the moment the first goblins showed themselves. With a few steps and jumps the creature was on top of one of the tables, and swung his dogslicer, no more than a crude metal blade fastened to a wooden stick with a leather strap, towards Grauwerd. The goblin swung the blade with such ferocity and desire for murder that the weapon, due to it's new gained momentum, caused the goblin to topple from the table the goblin takes 1 point of non-lethal damageto make it land head first on the cobble stones. The second goblin had followed the first one on top of the table and found himself there a well grilled salman he could not resist. As his raiding companion fell from the table he roared with laughter, and continued eating. |

As Grauwerd sees the tumble of the goblin he hit in his pot just a moment ago, a grim smile shows on his lips for a moment. He takes another new arrow from his quiver and takes aim again. As the unarmed and prone goblin is not dangerous now, he targets the eating goblin on the table first.
The eating and laughing goblin learns in one single moment that eating is one thing, but looking like a pig on a roasting spit feels completely different as the arrow protrudes from his fat belly. After his shot, Grauwerd changes his weapon for his longsword and heads for the prone goblin. Last edited by Krwyn; Aug 5th, 2015 at 07:13 PM. |

One moment, the goblin was enjoying the best salmon he'd ever had, the next moment an arrow protruded his liver, intestines and whatever meal he had last eaten, severely ruining his appetite and at the same time stopping his Aangezien je het in je vorige post zo correct had weergegeven vermoed ik dat je de favored enemy bonus bewust niet hebt meegerekend in je attack.
The now dead goblin collapsed forward, landing right next to his raiding companion who was still prone on the ground after his failed attempt to kill Grauwerd. The cheerful battle spirit that had filled the goblin moments before made room for the familiar hatred against anything that opposed it. The creatures own mortality, himself wounded and his companion dead beside him, made him both angry and scared at the same time. As Grauwerd started his approach towards the goblin, sword drawn, the door of the Rusty Dragon flew wide open. A stream of screaming and frenziedpeople spilled out from the inn. Men and women, elves, dwarves, gnomes, they all ran outside. Fear and panic were clearly visible on their faces, with their eyes darting around to find the nearest hideout to outlive this nightmare. A nightmare that was bigger than just the attack on the inn. From nearby streets the same horrifying screams could be heard and it seemed as if all around Sandpoint the goblin song was chanted. GOBLINS RACE AND GOBLINS JUMP GOBLINS SLASH AND GOBLINS BUMP BURN THE SKIN AND MESH THE HEAD GOBLINS HERE AND YOU BE DEAD! The look in the goblin's face turned from angry and fearful to evil, a wicked kind of evil. It sprang back on its feet and while it grabbed one of the sharp knives on the table, it plunged itself into the crowd of fleeing people. Out of sight but clearly audible, Grauwerd heard the piercing scream of a woman witnessing the arrival of her doom. |

As Grauwerd recognizes the threat the maurauding goblin poses for the innocent bystanders, he runs full speed after the wounded critter, his longsword ready to its the miserable life.
He hopes to be quick enough to catch the monster before he he wounds or kills someome. In his run he theows people off his route to the goblin he glimps on his route to disaster. When he reaches the creature he swings his longsword and attacks. Last edited by Krwyn; Aug 9th, 2015 at 02:42 PM. |

Grauwerd found a spot in the crowd and for one short moment had clear sight of the goblin. Without hesitation he charged forward and cut his blade at the twisted creature. The crowd itself remained out of harm, but the blade found its way into the goblin's belly. Blood poured out but for one moment it seemed as if the creature would survive. Its little hands tried to get hold of the blade and succeeding, tried to pull it out. With murderous eyes and an even more wicked grin it pulled and pulled. Until the moment the loss of blood overtook the goblin, its hands were gripped tightly around the handle and as it collapsed on the ground, it still carried its wicked grin on its face. Grauwerd is lucky to have killed the goblin before he could have hurt innocent bystanders. With his sword in hand, he heads to the entrance of the inn, where some moments before a real avalanche of men and women had poured out of the windows and doors in full panic. He strides inside ready to attack any living goblin that will show his ugly head or raise his voice in an unnerving song again.
