Aw man, if only my girl were a thief in her previous life. She'd so have a great idea for the moment where everyone would profit....

Interesting... All in favor of letting the dog and the sphinx fight it out and then we kill the winner. Say "Ai."
note: my money is on the construct, but I would think I could feed it a sonic bomb to ruin its day. Last edited by Xaer QwickBlade; Sep 7th, 2012 at 05:19 PM. |

If it weren't for the apparent fragility of the hourglass, I think I'd approve of that strategy. I really don't want the hourglass to get broken, though, and while I'm sure neither the thief nor the construct do either, I'm afraid it'll... happen. Also sonic bombs + delicate glass instruments... eesh.
I've got Mage Hand, if that helps. If he puts it back down (and he might, considering he's holding it with magic and distractions are a bad thing for fighting giant doggies), I could attempt to sneak it over to us |

Thats is a good idea. Use mage hand (I was thinking dive for the thing) to get it THEN blow up the survivors!

I say we let the bad guy decide! I mean, what could go wrong?

I never said I thought it would. Alex figured maybe undead and not-dead were similar. Although I don't understand what a living construct is or how Alex would know the difference between that and a normal construct.
Don't worry. I'll get around to Magic Missile before the fight is over, and since that's the only useful thing I can do to it anyway, I'm not wasting any time. And I warned you that Alex would do counterintuitive impromptu experiments during combat ![]() |

Living construct means that it's alive, but has non-living parts hooked up to it. The "armor" most prominently, but there are other bits you can't see.

Oh. Well I'm a bit less hesitant to hit it with my pretty sword now, but I'm still scared I'll blunt it. And if it's living, I guess Touch of Fatigue might have an effect too!

Uhh, I hate to hold you guys up. but I expressly said I didn't hold the hourglass before. I did just watch the thief try and not be able to throw the thing. I am also not where I said I went... I'll go ahead and behave like you said I did Fragmaster, but I just thought I should let you know that you misread my post.

Fate apparently resents outsiders appearing in worlds where they're not supposed to be and thus ruining her tapestry.

Point 1: That was my bad, yes. Trying to post at 1am after flying back from Seattle. Still, the effect targets anyone in your square, so it didn't need to be held.
Point 2: Action takes precedence over Movement. You wanted to yank the hourglass, so I moved you such that you could.

You can skip me for now, I hope you weren't waiting on me. I'm lurking out of sight and mind in the shadows... well, probably not out of sight.
