Geghard whipped his head around when the acolyte suddenly dropped, reflexively annoyed that he had been denied the satisfaction after all of his frustrated swinging. He was no pride-swollen gladiator, though; quite the contrary. His eyes found the next target up, and it was big...and glowing. The spearman slid behind the rider's mount, jabbed it hard in the flank, then when it turned ran his spearhead deep into the beast's sternum. This creature at least fell quickly. Its master was thrown awkwardly to the ground as well, though he appeared to have plenty of fight left in him.
Thwarted at dismounting the rider, Baka emits a deep, rumbling growl of disapproval. Stepping back, he winds up the arm holding the fungal-infused quarterstaff in a huge arching underhanded swing. The bulbous head of the Shillelagh strike = 11 @ 8 DMGstaff swings upwards towards the rider, but the jostling of the steed and rider make the strike a difficult one for the slow, lumbering tortle to land.

Earlamar looked over at tempting target that was the adventurer, but opted for the opportunity closer at hand. Earlarmar stepped to the prone former rider and stuck him with his short sword.
Move to P13. Short sword and dagger on rider; sword for 17/7; bad WIS even if that was enough. Rolls.
Just when the opposition was starting to seem insurmountable, finally the adventurers managed a breakthrough. Undeterred by the sudden display of emotion of her enemy, Aurora finally landed another conclusive hit, but this time she made sure to entirely rip the memory apart. Maybe it had been the wound that had given her a sudden surge in determination, but in any case she dispersed the Scarlet Legionnaire into a rain of dust that disappeared just after she pierced through it and stormed at the rider that was fighting Baka. She swung her blades elated by her previous success, but this enemy was slightly more skillful as the human interjected his rapier into her strike and parried the blow that had aimed for his leg.
On Geghard's front, Aurora's success seemed to spill over as Oguun patiently rung his own deadly bell for a third time, but even as the other clergymen had erected a barrier to misdirect anybody's intent to harm him, the githzerai's mind had been sharped in the limbo and when he finally settled his thoughts after enduring blow after blow from the spears directed at him, his magic struck true and the young monastery decayed on the spot, falling into dust before Geghard had ever gotten his revenge. Using that frustration as motivation, the human spear wielder quickly dashed forward and instead unleashed the full force of his combination attack on the rider's horse that was still half-blind from Baka's luminescent spore bomb. Just after parrying Aurora, the rider was thrown off his mount, dodging Baka's strike but taking an ugly spill right before Earlamar's feet. As the horse turned to dust as well by Geghard's precision strikes and force of will, Earlamar rammed both his blades into the momentarily stunned target at his feet. But as the half-elf was still shaken from everything that had been happening in this short timeframe he didn't manage to make the murder of the memory his reality. It gave the dismounted rider an opportunity to roll to his feet as his body reassembled itself, but when he thrust his rapier at Earlamar, the rogue managed to parry as well.
At the mouth of the alleyway the battle took another turn as well when Derek was cowed by the sudden assault by the muscly human, focusing everything on weaving his way through the mallet lest his arcane defenses could fail him. This provided Rolen with just the distraction though to show the enemy his own elven heritage. An illusionist was what he was striving to become, however his flowing movement as he drew one of his daggers and stabbed it into the emotionless human's side suggested that he was far from helpless when closed upon. The wound was deep and as the memory of an adventurer bled, his movements were already becoming sluggish from all the deep wounds that the wizards' combined assault had left on his body. In response to Rolen's actions he now swung his mallet at the high-elf, but Rolen's magical reinforcements held true as well and the mallet found no purchase against the arcane layers of force.
We're getting into the end spurt. The enemies refuse to roll high and now the party finally closed about half their fighting force. Time to finish the rest.
Order was nearer to being restored. Oguun kept his shield between himself and the two memories that flailed at him, the shield ringing with every failed blow. He turned to the one who pinned Rolen and Derek, calling once more for the funeral gong. "Less than a husk. Be shaken apart, blow away on the wind."

Aurora was surprised when the rider managed to block her strike. "Huh? A sword master?"
The woman straightened herself and took an elegant posture of a fencer, with one weapon in front and second behind her back. She moved back and forth, imitating the movements that she sometimes saw during fighting performances back home. Aurora tried to jab the rider's chest but her weak attempt was stopped by some armour. Without a second thought, she quickly gave up on rules and traditions, to swing with her other weapon, very lightly scratching her opponent's arm. "T-to first blood, right?"

I had expected Rolen to take the opportunity to get away from the mallet-wielding adventurer, but instead he came to my defense. Encouraged now that the adventurer's focus was taken off of me, I tried to help Rolen. I drew my runes and said, "Chill touch!"

Geghard joined Aurora in raining blows on the former rider; it took two more to finally disperse his form. Then he stalked over beside Oguun. The extraplanal cleric had been heroically fending off two soldiers while magically dispersing other enemies. Had these last two foes been real, they likely would have surrendered, but Geghard could only expect these dream-things to fight to the end. "Alright," he offered in modest encouragement, "let's wrap this up."

The adventurer that was engaged with them finally fell to the blows from their fellow comrade Oguun, he looks around for his next target and notices the faerie fire around the Dark Rider and instinctually sheaths his dagger, as it doesn't seem to be needed at the moment. He then moves his free hand and places it upon his staff, then pointing it towards the Rider and a firebolt shoots from it, striking it. The fire explodes as it hits him, igniting anything else around him that is flammable.
