Holy cow, this month's contest was a brutal showdown for the judges. There were a LOT of very good posts nominated, and it was a hard, hard battle to get the judges to decide on just one. We argued back and forth over the merits of each, and narrowed it down to three, then two, then finally, in the words of one judge "by the width of a hair on a dwarf maiden's beard", we came to a decision.

April was a apparently a month filled with top notch talent, and I can say that all of the nominations gave it a good, solid run for first place. But there can be only one, and for April, that one is....
