Name: Edward Page
Hero Name: Epsilon

Age: 24
Concept: A gravity manipulator just beginning to understand his abilities and looking to use them to gain redemption.

Personality:

Edward was relatively adventurous and convivial as a teenager, positively loquacious. However a few dark years in prison turned him capricious, sour and guarded. He virtually lost his ability to trust and he felt a constant anger at the course his life had taken and those he felt had betrayed him. His naturally tendency to talk turn into a liability as his newfound snark and sarcasm repeatedly landed him in trouble. Though his personality is still heavily clouded by his darker tendencies, with the evolution of his mutant abilities his old ways have started to pierce the heavy fog surrounding him.


Background:

Edward spent his youth in and out of foster homes and orphanages. He never knew his parents but he has a younger sister, Emily, out there somewhere. They were separated when she was adopted by a family that didn’t want a teenage boy. This event more than anything started Edward’s slow drift into troubled waters.

Edward started hanging out with a young delinquent by the name of Thomas who was all too eager to cause trouble. In the early years it was all about fun and rebelling against the world that neglected them. Eventually though it led to more serious crimes and finally Edward going down for robbery and an accessory to murder.

Edward was waiting to drive the get-away car when all hell broke loose. He could hear the gunshots from inside the store and then saw Thomas and the other two in their crew, Bronx and Icepick, coming out with sacks running from an armed security guard. Thomas took two in the back and fell on the curb before reaching the car. Edward leapt from the car and hurried to his side as Bronx shot the pursuing guard. Then Bronx and Icepick took off in the car leaving Edward holding Thomas waiting for the police. Thomas didn’t survive his wounds and Edward was convicted alone for the crimes.

Before he was even arraigned, Edward got a message from Bronx threatening to end Emily if Edward told the police anything about him or Icepick. So for the first time in his life, he held his tongue. He was sentenced to 25 years in a Nevada State prison.

When the orange sky event happened, Edward was immediately empowered and energies surged out of him blasting away a large section of the building and part of the outer yard wall. Numerous prisoners escaped in the chaos including Edward.

Since developing his powers Edward has learned that he needs to have a much better understanding of what his powers. He’s come to understand that managing his powers requires a good understanding of the mathematics and physics involved. Luckily he has always had a knack for math though it was always just something of a very boring party trick before now. He has spent much of his last year reading everything he can get his hands on about the subject of gravity.


Physical Description:

Edward might me considered handsome in some circles, but he doesn’t look after his appearance enough to make a great impact. He stands a little under six feet with a slight build. He tends to dress in simple clothing, jeans, a graphic tee and old high top converses. Regardless of whatever else he might be wearing or the temperature outside he won’t be seen without his very old and faded leather bomber jacket.

He has reddish brown hair and sharp hazel eyes with a nose and front teeth that are slightly large for the rest of his features.


Complications:

Motivation: Doing good/Redemption and hopefully some thrills along the way

Secret Identity: Edward wears a mask mainly because ehe finest want his real identity splashed across the evening news so that the police and Bronx don’t see him.

Accident: Edward isn’t stupid but he missed out on a fair amount of education and doesn’t really understand the basis of his powers so sometimes his best plans go a bit awry.

“Enemy” Edward doesn’t consider the police an enemy and he’s not a high priority for them right now but they definitely factor heavily into his behavior.

Secret: Edward is an escaped convict.

Obsession: Edward tracks the news constantly looking for reports about the other prisoners that escaped when he did. A few weeks after he escaped, one of the prisoners on his cell block killed a family on a botched home invasion. Edward blames himself and seeks every opportunity to recapture the other prisoners.

Relationship: Sister, Emily. Edward doesn’t know where his sister is but given the chance would seek her out once Bronx is no longer a threat.

Extra Credit: I’m looking for great time and hopefully a few good stories to share. I’ve really enjoyed putting this character’s story and personality together. I rarely get the personality and background for a superhero first like I do in other games. I get lost in all the shiny power possibilities.

I see Edward as having been freed from a life where he was always at the mercy of others and receiving none felt somewhat helpless. Now he has power and he’s determined to use that power to protect those that can’t protect themselves. I’d like to see him have opportunities to be the hero even if he can’t enjoy the lime-light afterwards. To become part of a team so that he regains his ability to trust others. Finally one day to be able to fully redeem himself and somehow to no longer be a fugitive.


I have his sheet nearly done but I wanted to make sure I had the requested app information up as soon as it was ready.
