I'm still here, but I had a bunch of chores, so I am only now getting to look over the powers lists again. Between Scrapper and Gremlin, I think we have the tech side already covered, but hey, why not have multiple people geeking out over gadgets, right? Gremlin's good with computers and Scrapper seems good with "building a time machine in my garage" type stuff. I think have a vehicle mechanic might still be necessary.

Name: Sassa Jansen "Randgrid"
Age: 50 and thousands of years old Concept: Changing into an eternally young strong and powerful being while also trying to keep true to yourself Personality: Sassa is gentle and kind, she has a strong moral center, tends to be timid and shies away from many things. That said, she does want to help. Randgrid is a thousand year old warrior her moral code is that of the ancient Norse people, she's violent, lustful, bostful and full or herself. Background: Sassa was on a break with her girlfriend in Norway. She'd decided to take a simple tour of the US and figured she and her girlfriend would reconnect after their break. Maybe do some therapy and work things out. Then the disaster happened and the world changed. She was stuck in the US and she happened upon an ancient sword and picked it up. She transformed into Randgrid then and there, a thousands of years old battle maiden and chooser of the slain. When she transformed back she was herself again, well more like a twenty year old version of herself she's eternally beautiful and with just a thought she can always summon Randgrid again. She can become the powerful winged woman capable of fighting nearly any battle and yet every time she changes she looses more of herself, but how can she not change when the power of a Valkyrie is needed. ![]() Physical Description: Six foot five with flowing white hair, golden eyes, shining silver full plate, sword and shield with wide black wings. She looks just like the ancient tales suggest a Valkyrie ought to look. ![]() Physical Description: Sassa is nearly six foot with long brown hair and blue eyes. Complications: - Personality change: Sassa is slowly becoming Randgrid and it is very hard to keep her own personality. - Secret identity: When Sassa is not Randgrid she loses a great deal of her powers - Morality: Randgrid's morality comes from an ancient warrior culture. She does not understand modern morality. RP Sample: An explosion rocked the ground causing Sassa to stumble. She hoped it wasn't something too dangerous, hoped she wouldn't have to make the change. She moves quickly to look and her hopes are dashed, a gasoline truck has hit an apartment building and everything is engulfed in flames. A large creature is on the street as well attacking everyone. Even if the fire department could get through the traffic they couldn't deal with whatever that creature was. Someone else would help...no...people were dying out there she couldn't just watch people die because she was afraid of loosing herself. Randgrid was already in the back of her mind too, demanding to be released, demanding her moment to face the creature and slay it in mortal combat. That just made things worse though since Sassa hated the idea of killing things. Still, was there a real choice here? No...no..she closed her eyes and brought Randgrid forth by drawing an unseen sword from her back. The Valkryie flapped into the air and smiled. She didn't make any speeches, didn't posture, she just flew towards the creature sword held high and a battle song in her heart. It would die and she would send it to Valhol. There was no doubt in her mind. Extra Credit: Clearly I like this idea of the conflict Sassa has between herself and Randgrid. I want to explore it and see if they can come to some middle ground or if, in the end, Randgrid will mostly win out. Also, I wanted to explore just what having a more real to legend Valkryie might be like in a heroic setting. Beyond that I'd like to have fun writing with others.

At the same time, with multiple Dynamic Arrays there wouldn't seem to be an automatic way to satisfy all the PL caps. Another doubt, this time about Strength Damage: let's say I want also a modifiable weapon, that could become a stick/sling/etc. so I guess another Array, and would like for it to be Strength based. How could I tie the cost per rank of Extras (ranged, multiattack etc.) if my Strength is variable in the first place (since from what I understand, the cost would also include the baseline ranks from Strength)? |
