why the hells would you have spells like that in effect? from a tactical poit of view, its great against multipouncers, but otherwise, doesn't it just slow down yer own escape and mobility plans too?

Anticipate Teleportation and its greater version only delay inbound spells, not outbound ones. That means that we can teleport away normally, but anyone else has to wait to get to us. By the same token, it doesn't delay anyone who tries to escape by using teleportation. Still, as multipouncing effects generally teleport within the spell's radius, they are subject to it.
I was indeed referring to Spellguard Rings. |

I mentioned this on the wiki, but what if I was the target of the spell? When I teleport, the field wouldn't exist anymore, allowing for normal teleportation resolution.

That would work if Tanner's focus were traded off. Vintereth is not about to part with her own focus, considering that it performs double duty as a magic item. (Both spells require the spell's recipient to carry the focus.)

If it means solving this problem, I'll be all too happy to shell out 1000gp for a focus once you tell me about it IC. ;p

I made some commentary in the wiki regarding randoom's potential build.. mostly referrin to how quickly would celestine seek a rakashasa's blood if met on the street.
this is a snag worth discussig extensively if the rakshasa build will fly. here or there is fine with me.

SInce everyone seems to be talking here, is it better to go with anthro whale + half-minotaur or H-M + base human? Anthro whale gets awesome stats and NA, and if I get to buy off the H-M I could probably replace it with Lolth-touched for even more goodness.
Also, do we get to use dedicated wrights for a discount? Or does it not work that way? Was thinking of something along the lines of mithril tesselated armor and a +1 valorous polearm of vaulting for my guy, along with a hat of disguise so that people who see him don't immediately freak out and run. |

Though I'm not the DM, you could probably pull off something similar to Vintereth's crafting scheme by having someone else craft stuff using your Dedicated Wright or few. Keep in mind that you will likely not only be paying the XP costs, but also for the spells that need to be cast. Transference is one of the best design concepts I've seen for WotC's item crafting system. Even so, they still generally stick to form-over-function mechanics. If you're going to use Mithral Tesselated armor...you might as well apply those properties to a Definitive Harness. It's exotic armor, but mithral+tesselated knocks off any armor check penalty, and thus the only detriment to being nonproficient is a -5' penalty to speed. |

Hmm, is that an Arcana Unearthed thing? I don't have that supplement, alas. In any case, I'd like to stick to light armor as much as possible, so I don't lose Blade Dancer's speed.

Depending on how you look at things, Mithral Tesselated armor may be light. (Both seem to downgrade its type by one lightness category.)
And if not, you could always clone Vintereth's armor. It's somewhat expensive (31.6 or 34.8K gp), but you won't need to buy any more armor after that. The Definitive Harness is indeed from Arcana Unearthed (or Arcana Evolved). Stuff like it exists due to the setting's assumption that mithral isn't used. Ignoring the mithral ban doesn't mess up balance that much, especially when compared to the rest of the things the party is doing. |

the harnes is legal.. but if yer starting of with it, you'd best have a good story as to how you acquired it. that is a planar item, so if you've been Khorvaire-bound the whole time, yer gonna start stretching. There are plenty of planar bubbles out there thatt have the technology.
I'd really dissuade size huge characters. expanding to size huge is fine, but naturally being size huge is downright awkward.

I'd agree. Being Large is bad enough - although I think a hat of disguise will suffice in social situations.
