that works-- good trade. you effectivly have leap of the cloiuuds as per monk as well... no height csap on jumps.

2. Speed of Thought is a bonus feat granted as a Soulknife special ability, not as a Psychic Warrior bonus feat (it is not a matter of choice). Are you giving me permission here to replace it anyway? Or should I replace another feat instead?

And an addendum (try saying that ten times fast): Reading the description of how Legacy items work, I don't think Least Legacy is a feat you take as you would any other feat, but rather a bonus feat you automatically obtain after undertaking the appropriate ritual? I really haven't used any Weapons of Legacy before, so please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, are you saying here i ought to design my own legacy item based around my own mindblade?

For legacy items, iirc, you pay the gold cost and it grants you the relevant feat as a bonus feat.

I took Awesome Blow, because I am a Monster...
Awesome BlowAWESOME BLOW [GENERAL, FIGHTER]

Prerequisites: Str 25, Power Attack, Improved Bull Rush, size Large or larger.

Benefit: As a standard action, the creature may choose to subtract 4 from its melee attack roll and deliver an awesome blow. If the creature hits a corporeal opponent smaller than itself with an awesome blow, its opponent must succeed on a Reflex save (DC = damage dealt) or be knocked flying 10 feet in a direction of the attacking creatureís choice and fall prone. The attacking creature can only push the opponent in a straight line, and the opponent canít move closer to the attacking creature than the square it started in. If an obstacle prevents the completion of the opponentís move, the opponent and the obstacle each take 1d6 points of damage, and the opponent stops in the space adjacent to the obstacle

I'm going to buy off the two 1/2 dragon template LA's and be 13th level (84,310 exp pts). This nets me one more level to work with, including one more HD on that side.

I will use a level of Barbarian, gaining Rage and Fast Movement. This raises his movement to 50 and increases his jump distances by 2/3 total. Plus, more strength...

Taking Run feat, which adds 25% to jump distance, and allows 5x speed for run.

Asc: I brain farted on the speed of thought, though I'd let you swap it anyay.
Dave: I alays make that mistake. yea. you buy that feat ith gold. dammit. I"ll remember that evenually.

As or schism: if you can afford to have it permanized, I don't have a prblem with it bei permanized, simply becase it keeps you more competitve. I will bend the rules for the sake of party balance.


Axe: I was gong to suggest sacreficing your wings for leap of the clouds and an aditional LA buyof.
You would only hae to pay for the two buyof total (9k) which sarts you at 14th, but youve got 2 levels to lay with and are closer to 14th level..,. you'll probably catch up in chaper 5.
run good. babarian fine.. ut boots of stridin nd springing ill accmplish your goal more efficiently and affordably. (and use the other level for more hulking hurler IMO...
(1/2dragon)stonechild3/giant8/hurler2) taht would save you 9k in the end, since you'd only hve to buy off the 2 levels of dragon. tath + leap of clouds is a pretty decent trade, methinks for the wings.

If you are willing to throw a +10 speed on that, I will take the HUlking Hurler instead of the barbarian (which works better for the character...)

I as under the impresion that the barbarian speed as enhancement, but it looks like it is am inherent (sp?) bonus... so hile the boots are a good idea, be welcome to take either hurler or barbarian. your choice.

I'm gonna do a little mixing on his stuff, reducing his AC magic (yes, reducing) and increasing his jumping stuff. I'm getting Boots of Striding and Springing and a Ring of Improved Jumping. That takes care of the +10 speed without asking for a 'bonus' beyond what we've already discussed.

With the extra level of HH I can get another Hurler trick, and I don't have to get rage (which does not fit the character).


So: No +2 Ring of Protection, no Ring of Force Shield, No Barbarian Level

Add: Another level of Hurler (with hurling feat), Ring of Improved Jumping (in Bracers), Ring of Sustenance (in Bracers), and Boots of Striding and Springing (in Bracers - now no boot slot) (combined somehow with Warforged all-treads if I can find a way to do that).

Leaves me with zero money, and lots o' jumping.

sounds like a good solution.

it'll be intersting to see how you and the rest of the team integrate your combat styles... the three vets are all pretty much blast from afar (or SoD from afar).. but the ne three are playing striker/defender tanky or gish type martial combatants... itll change the dynamic somehat for sure.

I'm anxious to see how everyone weigs in so I can work on rebalancing combat.. yay!

No range for me. Melee, melee, melee! Maybe throwing the blade once in a while if I can't reach, but I have so many different movement-based powers that I find that scenario extremely unlikely.

I'd also think about using legacy to ncrease reach. like category C,E,G to bump you up to a 20 foot reach witht he mind blade. that would be useful.
In epic levels I could see you spending AoO's to regain focus as ell. I think that ill go a ay to keep you competitve in the 20's.
