Not sure if I'm thrilled with having a creature built specifically to beat Ump (by anomalousman no less!), but I'll give it a try. But his record is only 2 & 1 at the moment, so not like he is steamroller'ing the competition or anything.

I spoke to Lormador about running a figh between Taree and Victel but I think he has been busy lately.
I also believe that Inem volunteered to fight Ump with Lucan. Perhaps instead of building a nasty critter to fight Ump, just let the players duke it out? I think once the players have each fought all the other players at least once, THEN we could start changing up the match formats a bit. Just my thoughts....

Fights between willing players is definitely the go-to option.
I'll still prepare something, but I won't build specifically to beat Ump so much as specifically to be fun to fight. I won't play rocket tag aimed at the full set of weaknesses or make something invulnerable/sneaky - I'll try to match players on open ground. It can then be used for any fight. Will take the weekend to build, however. And that's assuming I get my exam written today.

I have a PC who is heading down to the pits, a waiting area for gladiators before matches are fought, to converse with fighters and make some skill checks. Would anyone like to interact with him?
I will provide an appropriate thread for doing so. These conversations are to occur posterior to all matches fought EXCEPT those fought with Laeric. They are to occur AFTER any matches fought with Laeric: at least 24 hours after.
