Yeah, that concentration of Downers in the mid-range, combined with AnotherDragoon and Pianoman’s huge tugs really gave the Downers their strength. Mad respect for Imveros as well who came in so late and took a top-10 spot. This was my first game with Imveros and all the legends and lore proved true and dutifully earned!
PS—Do you see that first big Upper downfall on the graph chart? That is the first appearance of all-night Pig, when you and Pianoman did that all-night run and “tribute to legendary pianists” which really turned the game around for the Downers and almost led to your win.

Dang, I thought I did more than that!
Did anyone else feel like there was a hidden battle between time zones? I'm in UTC-5 and it felt as though every time I woke up, the Uppers had gained a foothold.

Absolutely. I think it started as an East Coast vs West Coast US time zone battle, then midway through the game certain, ahem, persistent Aussies ruined the Upper run (and that was at the same time that we Uppers lost our top poster, Crimson, who was working overnight shifts in CST). And then toward the end the Euro-Asian forces (combined with some early morning goat farmers and IT managers in the US) showed up for the Uppers to battle a very persistent Icelandic-based Downer. That’s my read, at least.
ETA: Oh yeah, and then there was any-time-zone-is-Yuul-time-zone freak of nature!

The swings were interesting for sure. I always appreciate the friendly razzing and banter that comes with these battles. There were some great memes from both sides as well! It was wild walking up some mornings to 4+ new pages, what a ride.
