Campaign Suggestions Thread

Since I did say in the application post (both times) that players would be able to help determine the campaign world, I'm setting up this thread to do so. While I'm the final decider of what goes in and what doesn't, feel free to tell me here what you'd like to have somewhere in the world, that your characters might eventually encounter.

I'll start: I'm thinking it would be cool to have a dwarven religion based on a westernized version of Shinto and Japanese Buddhism, heavy on ancestor worship and spiritual practices.

Non-evil undead based on the dwarven religeon above. Less 'soul tortured and bound to rotting flesh' more 'ancestors returning for a while to serve their ancestors in their time of need'

Hmm, that would be pretty interesting, especially since Edi would then have to overcome a pretty huge mental block to avoid killing them all...I think I could have fun with that =P

Lol, yeah, I had thought of that. "What are ye doin'? Those are our honored ancestors you are dismemberin', ye desecratin' bastard!"

Uh-oh...

I was actually gonna make a post requesting that.

My suggestion is the same as above. I'll try brainstorming some more tonight.

Maybe give us multiple options at certain points in the campaign, in which the decisions have a decent impact. I.e.) Say it was three options, not choosing the other two will have repercussions later. While the one we did will obviously aid us in one way.

That, too, is already planned. As well as a few cases where you have a single, sizable obstacle, but you decide how to overcome it. Sometimes, the obstacle isn't necessary, but overcoming it will open up new options. Every choice has benefits and drawbacks, and it is up to you whether the benefits exceed the drawbacks.

However, much like life, you may not always know the repercussions of your choices. Sometimes the benefits will be greater than you hoped; sometimes, the drawbacks will be more than you feared.
