[Story] Party Banter (Afternoon of Day 4 to Morning of Day 5)

OOC I decided a separate banter thread for each period of down time would be better than a single thread. That way there is less chance of accidental overlaps. This one is from the time between the funeral after the battle with the goblins, then the remainder of travel on Day 4, camping that night, and travel in the morning on Day 5, up to the requested perception check.

Sakura starts the night on a bedroll, but eventually gives up on the too soft surface. When its her turn for watch the one who wakes her finds her sleeping curled up against a tree, seeming to fit perfectly into a groove, and looking somehow more alive and healthier for it. Strangely enough she has taken off her shoes again, showing her too big feet, or at least they would be showing if she hadn't unconsciously dug them a couple of inches into the dirt at the base of the tree.

In the morning she gets up with the Sun, seeming energised. She bounces around asking questions about peoples life, watching them pull apart teh camp and helping as she can. When they set off she follows along peacefully enough, the sites and sounds and smells of this strange place (for her) enough to keep her active mind occupied.

The prisoner starts off his day with a much less pleasant disposition than Sakura. "Nogbucker wants eats! Give Nogbucker foods!" the runt growls, glowering at his captors.

"Here!" Drubner tosses a spare foodstuff the goblin's way, "Now for god's sake be quiet! I'm trying to study here."

In front of the half-orc was the arrayed contents of his alchemy kit as well as formula guide. Ever since the battle, one thing had gone over and over again in the back of Drubner's mind. The fact that he'd burned Alessandra's body. Although she was dead, it was only proof that he needed to refine his art lest the next person he burned was a friend. To that end he was trying to work out a fiddly little trick that Grant once showed him. It concerned making precise holes within a bursting field, but so far he's had no luck.
