[Announcement] The Campaign's Future

I have decided to keep 11cclark on as a player after assurances that he would post more often, but I did go ahead and send Casino Jack and Moridain messages that I was dropping them. I haven't heard back from CJ, but Moridain is okay with this.

Since 11cclark didn't get the options I presented, I'll go over them here and we can discuss them. Option 1: Recruit replacements, and continue the campaign as is. Option 2: Recruit new players and reboot the campaign, giving you three a chance to make new characters if you want. I'll probably change a few things up to ensure you aren't repeating the same events exactly. Option 3: Scrap this campaign. I'll run the Rise of the Runelords adventure path (I enjoyed running some of it for my tabletop group, and I think it would be amazing with a party that wasn't constantly bickering) as a new game, but you three will have first pick of characters for that. I enjoy world creation for its own sake, and it wouldn't be the first time I develop an idea I never use. So don't worry about the time I have put into setting or history here when choosing. Regardless of what happens, I'll be needing to recruit replacements.

So far, I have two people with a preference for Option 3, but who also like Option 1. For myself, I actually have a preference for Option 2 or 3, but I'm okay with 1 (or I wouldn't have listed it!).

I'll go ahead and do Thursday's update as planned, in case we settle on Option 1. I'd like to know 11cclark's opinions, and corporealself and Ieiunitas should feel free to reiterate theirs here publicly.

I personally enjoy the campaign and setting a lot. So i'm either option 1 or 2. If we do end up rebooting though, I'll probably retain my character(although I may alter her history a little).

Corporeal, this was a multi-option vote. Did you want to cast one for continuing the campaign as-is as well, or leave things as they are? (Can't actually change it now, but we'll count it one higher.)

I would have cast another vote for reboot along with my vote for the new campaign. I thought about it and a reboot with different circumstances, like you said, would keep it fresh and us on track.

Lol, well, if we take Ieiunitas's original preferences, that makes a three way tie. So I'll make a decision by Saturday.

Okay. Can't sleep, been thinking about pros and cons for the last hour and a half.

Ignore the last update. I'm going to go ahead and run Runelords. Start thinking of characters you might want to play in that. If you want to reuse your character, I'm okay with that, though you will need to reroll starting wealth and stats. (Wait until I get a game forum for that, of course.) I can easily see Drubner coming from Riddleport, Elana's backstory could easily have happened in Lastwall, and Edi as a cleric of Sarenrae - or Pharasma! It will be set in Golarion, and I'm going to give the option of two traits (one from a campaign list and one other) or a bonus feat from the RotRL player's guide. (Which you should download. You'll need an account, but it is free.) Obviously, I'd prefer it if you did NOT go hunting down spoilers. I'll make a recruitment thread tomorrow. I'm planning on getting the Inner Sea primer, so that'll be an allowed resource as well as the books that were okay for this game. I'm uncertain whether I'll allow the Magus yet, so if you want to play one let me know and I'll look over it.
