Anger burns deep inside Laura, gripping the butt of her pistol until her knuckles turn white. Thrown across time, with no memory of her formative years, and now she is to be the plaything of some supposed gods? Fury boiled in her like the raging sea, and staring up at the "ceiling", opening her mouth and letting out a rage-filled tirade. "Oh I am quickly become tired of this...you think that this is amusing that you have taken us from our homes, our loved ones, just for some game? And now you expect us to play in some sick game of yours? Come out and show yourselves then, you bloody jellyfish, or are you afraid I will turn you into a new pair of boots?!" The final bit catches both the women a bit off-guard that Laura said it, but at this point she is so confused and frustrated she cares little.

Jack took a deep breath as he continued to walk around the room. Unlike the others, he was more preoccupied with his own thoughts. Trying to calm down, he couldn't understand how any of this could happen. Ignoring their questions, Jack sat cross legged in front of the fireplace. Closing his eyes, he started to focus on the ticks of the clock. As each moment in time passed, he allowed himself to slow down and really examine what was happening.
Part of him couldn't believe what was happening. Gods? Memory charms? It almost seemed like stuff out of a fairy tale. But then again, so was someone who could control Time, he thought with a half-hearted smile. Honestly, the worst part was the unknown. How much time had these Gods taken from him? Had they manipulated his body, or did that happen by himself? There seemed so many questions and Jack already knew that no one was interested in telling them the answers....yet. Jack opened his eyes as he struggled to get up. Looking at his own hands, he was beginning to understand the amount of power he could use. Even just a fraction of that power seemed scary to him and yet here he was. "So," he said as he grabbed a nearby cup from mid air and set it back on the table. "I guess we're stuck together huh? This is going to be....weird to say the least." Looking at his hands, he sighed. "I don't remember being a fighter or anything special like that. But after really focusing, I know I can definitely do more than put on a good show. And I'm sure that definitely goes for the two "ladies" that we have here. Whether we like it or not, we're about to be thrown headfirst into the fire. We should get ready while we still have time."

[Humility]
A meoww is heard from the direction of Humility. She looks down and scratches Sin behind his ears. Rather than a purr, there is another meow and a quick swipe of a paw. "Ow. What did you do that fo.." The lass looks around the group, blinking in surprise for a moment. "I think what he was saying is that we are being manipulated and he can help prevent some of that. Are any of you allergic to cats? Are you willing to accept his blessing?" |

For a moment Jack looked at the lady like she was insane. Here they were in the middle of a tense situation and yet she was doing nothing more than playing with her cat. Jack imagined exactly what type of cruel joke the Gods had planned by placing her among the crowd. Looking at her up and down, Jack almost wanted to sigh and give up. She didn't look like she really understood what was going on; in fact she looked so calm and friendly it almost seemed surreal.
But before he voiced his objections, Jack stopped himself. Black cat, knowledge of blessings, and even an eccentric personality? Sounds like a Witch alright, he thought as he scratched his chin. Stepping up, Jack did his best to smile politely. "At this point I'm willing to try anything," he said as he extended a hand towards Humility and her cat.

[Humility]
Humility kneels down and strokes her cat, "obyx-inoxtu-quitus. Meow". Sin stands as tall as a house-cat can, and walks along the line of creatures, swishing his tail out at each one in turn. When it gets up to the flame covered man it pauses, then after a reassuring nod from Humility, flicks his tail also over to that creature. There is no obvious effect from the touch. For a moment Jack humored himself as he waited for the cat to dance around them. Honestly it was quite the cute show and even if it was meaningless Jack could at least feel that it cheered him up. Thinking about lost time and being kidnapped by the Gods was just too strange. On the other hand, a dancing cat was just cute, even if it was a little surreal.
But squinting, Jack had a feeling that something was happening. Widening his eyes, he realized that even though there wasn't any visual effect, the cat had cast a spell. And it was extremely powerful one at that. Standing up, he couldn't help but smile even wider. "You're just full of surprises huh?" he said with a laugh as he looked at Humility with new interest.

After the cat had finished its rounds Frask leaned over and scratched it under the chin. "Thank you for your blessing little one. I hope we get to see many more of them before our paths are parted." As Frask stands he sees a bemused look upon his fiery friend. "Laugh all you want, I like animals."

"Showtime!" The single word booms through the room as it fades to white around you. As the light fades a very new environment greets you. Perhaps the most important change is that open sky now lies above, flat rock spreads out in all directions quite some way to unworked stone walls, sheered as if somebody had simply stamped this ground down below the land around it. Of more immediate importance however are the nine towering figures around you. Two each appear to be made of earth, fire, air and water. The final one stands as a metal giant, an enormous and elaborate suit of armour without an occupant. Despite their stature however there is one figure more demanding of your attention. Only slightly taller than an average human, glistening chain interwoven with a fine robe. A white turban wrapped around his head. With a strong gaze and a chiselled jaw he cuts an imposing figure. |

[Humility]
Humility looks around, trying to get a feel for what type of place this possibly is.... and what the creatures surrounding her are. "I think that probably depends on who you are, and what being with you really entails..." she replies conversationally. "If you don't mind me asking... what is this place, and what are the creatures that seem to have us surrounded?" She then turns her attention to the runes that seem to be inscribed in the raw rock around the group. "Is this a summoning circle? I think I have heard of these.. but if you didn't summon us..." Frask whispers for Aja (ifrit) to go over to humility and ask her if she can stall the being for as long as possible and when the battle begins to weaken his mind if possible. When done with Aja he speaks to Calah (undine) and asks her to use the manacles and fetters in his bag to bind him. When both of these are done he asks her to sing songs of nature and then sits and begins to True Mind Switch(dc 27 will) with the figure and decerebrate (dc 25 fortitude) as a mind leap contingency powermeditate lights begin forming and swirling, giving a show in which it appears frask is attempting to communicate with the new being but is unable to speak.

Jack whistled and looked around at the magnificent landscape. The bright sky stretched far above his head and rocks and mountains surrounded them. Actually, more than just rocks and mountains - towering creatures of each element surrounded them on all sides. Jack's nose wrinkled as he smelled the charred smoke from the two Fire elementals on the far side of the circle. Couldn't the Air elementals at least have the decency to blow the smoke away? Looking around, Jack could feel the sheer mass and weight of the Earth elementals as they shifted their stance. Glancing to the side, he honestly wondered how Water elementals could even survive in such a dry environment.
Taking a deep breath, Jack took the time to study his surroundings and take note of where everything was. That was always the first step to everything - make sure that his eyes missed nothing. After all, what if I could have prevented all of this just by being more observant? he thought to himself with a sigh. Being extra careful, Jack made sure he looked through Time itself to make sure there were no nasty surprises. His eyes glowed as he looked around him. He was already feeling way out of his comfort zone and he didn't want to be caught so off guard ever again.

"Being with me means service of cour..." his gaze snaps to the dromite, eyes narrowing. "Vox-Ala-Deem One of you has sealed their fate. Each of you that aids me now shall be spared." Last edited by TheMystic; Jan 26th, 2014 at 05:38 PM. |
