[Story] Party Banter (Day 1 to Morning of Day 4)

OOC Sometimes, to prevent slowdown on mundane details, the game may skip ahead several days - for example, waiting in town for something, traveling the road, etc. This thread is for party interaction during those times. This thread is In Character, and you should probably make note of a time frame when you are doing or saying something, to prevent confusion. I do ask, for continuity purposes, not to do anything that would affect something in the game thread. For example, if you drink a potion there, don't give away or drink the potion in this thread days earlier.

The pixies led them deeper and deeper into the swamplands, and Mezio was beginning to grow uneasy. They certainly had to obey the high authority of their queen, but Fae were tricky. There was no guarantee the path they were traveling was safe. So, Mezio reverted to one of his favored stress relieving tactics, poking fun at the most miserable man in the room. He sidled up to Drubner, saying

"So, Drubner, how do you appreciate your new overcoat?" Motioning with a nod of the head to the young girl that fool Thomas, who still needed to have words with, the man was thick as a bull for gods sakes, had invited with them.

With the Constable gone in a hurry and being stuck in the tiny Jail house, Mardigan pokes about the place a little bit before sprawling about on of the cots in the empty cells, With his arms propped behind his head and his feet crossed, Well my Scaled friend, what do you say to the first watch?, i must admit i was up all night on guard duty and could really use a few winks, If you know what i mean, or is sleep against your policy as well?, what do you say let this old Mongrel doze for about an hour? Shifting slightly to get more comfortable Mardigan closes his eyes.

"That's good to hear Sakura," Drubner replied, trying to be cordial, "My name's Drubner."

He pointed out each member of the party in turn, hoping that she'd give him a little breathing room and visit with the others. It was all he really wanted. But when she stubbornly insisted on following behind him, Drubner resigned himself to the knowledge that she must lack a concept of personal space.

However, after a short time, Mezio provided the answer Drubner had been searching for to this particular situation. From behind his scarf he gained a sly smirk and fixed his golden eyes on the druid.

"Fine... Just fine," Drubner said with all the good will he could muster, "You know Sakura, Mezio here has had some problems with the fey in the past. Perhaps you should tell him everything you know about them. Don't leave anything out. I'm sure anything you could remember would be helpful to him."

Elana looks at the Mongrel as he makes himself comfortable on the laugh. Her stiff posture loosens and she gives him a curt smile.

Go ahead, she said, I'll keep watch. I'll wake you if anything happens.

Sakura blinks, "Know about them? I know lots about them, though I havent met any before..." She begins regaling the druid with everything she has learned about various subtypes and mating habits.((everything 5 ranks in knowledge nature can tell her anyway. ))

Unfortunatly for Drubner though she does it from her safe perch behind him and in a voice loud enough to be heard by their guides.

with that Mardigan snickers at Elana and throws a little Wink to her, Thanks Babe and quickly nods off. However Elana quickly learns Mardigans Sleep is not without monsters of their own. Tossing and Turning, Yelling, Sometimes Screaming and sitting up as if awake only to drop back and snore as if nothing is going on.

Mardign heads off to tend to his supplies, Thankfully the Blacksmith was able to salvage the chard shield of his, but he has to return for it in the evening. running about the town Mardigan searches out the basic supplies he lost that were in his pack. Once Mardigan has obtained all he could he returned to pick up his Shield from the Smithy and heads to the tavern to find Traskin.

OOC With everything going on i do not want to waste to much time on this errand, so i figured i would lay out what i was looking for, you decide what this town has or does not and we will move n from this quickly into the main game.

Sakura looks around the room full of premade clothing in awe. Its not as impressive as mothers Horde, but its pretty close. She is truly clean for the first time in her life (and what a marvulous, if highly frightening thing a bath is!) and was told that she should try to get some travelling clothes. For some reasons none of the men wanted to join her on this expedition something about 'modesty'. She is pretty sure 'to be modest' means to live frugally rather than whatever they think but she is to new to the group to correct them about it.

She pokes at a couple of the more brightly colored clothes, loving the look and feel of them.

ooc You want to RP the shopkeeper Pilgrim, or should I just make it a ministory and RP her myself?

OOC I'll do you one better - I'll RP the shopkeep AND some company, by hijacking an ex-PC... come to think, I just remembered that the village tailor is Alessandra's father. And they don't get along. On second thought, I'll just RP the shopkeeper.

In Remier Dunwich's Garments As Sakura walks in, the tailor looks up with a smile... which becomes just a little forced as he tries not to gawk at the young lady in rags who just entered. He comes out from behind the counter, and it is noticable that in spite of the tools of his trade on his belt (tape measure, pin cushion, scissors, etc.) he walks like a predator. He seems friendly enough, however. His brown eyes flick over the half-elf girl, and he raises a calloused hand to scratch at a greying temple. "Can I... help you? No, never mind that, clearly you need my help. Come in, miss, come in!"

Sakura beams "I need some clothes, for travelling. I like these colored ones. They are reaaly pretty."

She reaches into her pouch at her side, grabbing a small handful of shinies and puts them on the counter. Value? About twenty gold, enough to outfit a noble four times over.
