Table Talk (OOC Chat Thread)
The danger, on the other hand, refers to the CR of the encounters. Little danger means the CR of a random encounter will never exceed the average party level, moderate danger is similar but the challenges can be up to 2 higher than the average party level, and Uncaring World means you may well have to run away more often because the challenges could be any CR appropriate for the environment.

Two things to mention.
One, I won't be finished with the map or NPC info today after all. Sorry about that, but I have a test in Finance tomorrow worth one third of my grade and I need to focus on studying today. Two, I'll be vacationing from the 21st through the 27th. I'll have my laptop with me, and I don't expect it to hinder the game, but if something goes wrong (like computer failure away from home) you will know why I won't post that week.

Random ecounters:
Frequency: Personally it should vary based on the location, but i like something like 10-15% in general CR: Again it should vary based on the location but i tend to prefer the mid-higher challenges with a few of the lower mixed in from time to time. Your #2 post: 1) No worries and best of luck 2) Everyone needs a vacation so if you lapse in updates no worries ![]()

Question to Random Encounters
Personally, it should fit with the environment. The farther away from civilization, the higher the encounter chance and CR.

Well, the number I use will be a base from which to add modifiers (including distance from civilization) but I'm not sure I want to increase the CR and the probability at the same time. I could do what I'm doing for my tabletop group - at levels 1 and 2, the CR doesn't exceed party level; at level 3 I allow it to go 2 higher than party level, and at level 5 it goes to uncaring world - I throw anything and everything at you.
![]() LordJecks, the character sheet looks good, though I note you didn't fill in your CMB and CMD. Also... a +13 to Knowledge(History)? Looks like I'll have to come up with a lot of background on the world. ![]()

Sheet is done, most likely something wrong with it, haven't made one yet that doesn't.

Yep, couple of things. You forgot to add your Con modifier to your hit points. Druidic is a free language for druids, so you still have another one. (Elven is a good choice for a Threefrogs resident, but it is your choice.) Augment Summoning requires Spell Focus (Conjuration) as a prerequisite. (I'd delay taking spell penetration for now, as few creatures with low CRs have spell resistance.) Your animal companion is missing hit points, has a 30ft. speed instead of 40, has an AC of 15 instead of 17, and has seven tricks; the saving throws and attack bonus get bonuses from ability scores but I'm sure you knew that. Finally, Favored Classes actually DO something in Pathfinder; any time you take a level in your favored class, including first, you get either a bonus hit point or skill point. Unless you are planning on multiclassing later, you probably want druid to be your favored class, so add one of those.

By the way I'm not infallible, so if you see any mistakes I make feel free to point them out. That goes for anyone.
Also, apologies LordJecks. I did overlook something - Perform is a suite of skills, like Craft and Knowledge. What is your performance in? String Instruments would seem the obvious choice since you mentioned the violin.

this may be a stupid question, but i've never played on this site before--how was i supposed to save a roll? i did the dice tags, hit preview and it said it wasn't saved. i hit post and then they changed. i messed with it trying to get my original roll back, but i feel i've screwed something up.

You kind of have the original roll. Rolls in the preview should never be used, because they won't stick - otherwise, people could preview, and cancel if they didn't like what they got. Once you post, then the roll is locked in. AFAIK, you can edit the post, but attempting to edit the roll itself will cause it to indicate that you are cheating.
I don't know what others can see, since I'm a moderator of the game forum, but it shows me a spoiler button and a list of the previously "deleted" rolls.
