If you wouldn't mind checking my character sheet over for errors as well, I'd greatly appreciate it. It's linked to in my character description, in the Dramatis Personae thread. As to the random encounters, a baseline percentage chance of around 10-15% sounds good, and moderate danger seems like it would make for a good mix of fighting, running away and avoiding combat by other means (diplomacy, negotiation, etc.) EDIT: Disregard that, I looked over my budget and managed to work a mule in there (at the expense of some other things), so now I've got a half-decent armor bonus at least, though I am dirt poor ^_^ (and just so you know, I won't be using any emoticons in-game; I know that's usually frowned upon.) If I could have everyone go ahead and roll a knowledge check for each area you are trained in. I'll use this to fill in the "What you know" thread.
There is one last thing I would like to bring up before I post the game thread (hopefully you'll read this before replying there). You all live in the same small village, some longer than others, so you would all know each other to some degree. It would behoove you to discuss how you feel about each other and who gets along with who prior to in-game interaction. I was going to have everyone start in their own threads, then merge them, but I can see many of you actually in the same location at the beginning. With one inn/tavern in town, it would seem to be a natural gathering spot. I can see Alessandra serving up drinks at the bar while Joff Banderson handles the kitchen; Mezio coming in for a drink, perhaps muttering about the latest wrong done to him by a pixie; Kinnon, fairly new in town, has a room here and may be eating a meal in the common room. If your character wouldn't be here at all, let me know and I'll start you off in your own thread. So... you are all in the Toad's Tongue Tavern and you all know each other for some reason... ![]()

I've given it some thought and it seems likely that Silas would be chummy with Alessandra simply because because she serves him drinks while he listens to Mezio rant/complain or Thomas recite one of his stories. He'd probably end up sharing a very cluttered room with Kinnon, annoying the monk to no end with his slothful ways and tendency to leave messes wherever he goes. He probably hasn't had that much to do with Amanes and Edi yet, unless they needed his expertise with alchemy. It's possible, but unlikely, that they could have met in Devonsport previously. Considering how hidden away Silas was at the time I'd doubt it.

Alessandra probably doesn't know Amanes or Edi, unless they tend to come to the bar quite a bit. Kinnon would be a bit of a stranger as well, but not to the extent those two would be. Mezio and Thomas she should definitely know, considering Thomas' family standing and Mezio's patronage of the tavern. |

Amanes is probably only known as far as "the one with the crazy sister", I'd think.

Mezio loses a bit of, civility around pretty girls, so Amanes might know of him. He's probably know Allesandra and Thomas very well, as he would frequent the bar alot. He would recognize the half-orc and the monk, being oddities, and he probably wouldn't even know Edi, Mezio prefers uplifting and sociable company.

I doubt Edi would have gotten to know anyone very well; he tends to avoid personal attachment. He could probably recognize you, and maybe call you by name (just because there are so few people in this town), but he's not a social butterfly by a long shot.
