The official RPGX movie discussion thread

Are there any new Scifi/fantasy movies comming out (not counting King Arthur) that I dont know about?

Also...is there anyone out there looking foreward to the Starwars ep. 3 (whenever Lucas plans on putting it out)? I feel its lost its momentum... though Im not sure Ill enjoy it, I still plan on going to see it just to say I did.
Does anyone know if the new Batman is going to be any good?

Well, there's AvP. The Village could probably be catagorized under fantasy. It won't be too long before that film about Alexander the Great hits theaters.

I've heard a rumor about a film called "King Conan" as well.

Yes, Im looking foreward to Alexander. Hes always been one of my favorite historical figures.

I have also heard a rumor of a new Conan movie, though I didnt know of its title. I have heard either Schwartzenager himself was going to be in it or he is going to be training Vin Diesel on how to play the character (like its hard to play Conan)...I hope its not Vin Diesel though. I do hope they leave the token stupid animal (usually a camel) spits on Conan, I still laugh when he knocks it out lol.

The new batman movie is going to be awesome. The new director is trying to remake the series after the horrible-ness of the other three movies (not counting Tim Burton's masterpiece). I read an article about it on msn...

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/5197046/site/newsweek/

there's the link.

Also, they're working more on the NGE LAP some more...

http://eva.trivialbeing.net/index.ph...ncept%20Images

WETA is working on that movie (they did the LOTR movies), and if you click on the links, you can see their production sketches... Movie's not coming out for a WHILE, but I can't wait... I'm gonna camp outside the theatre...

I'll bet Hollywood's gonna turn it into the biggest hackjob and ruin what was probably one of the most beautiful series ever created, but I'd like to see the word of EVA spread further throughout the US, even by these means. Ritsuko says, "Mankind must constantly use what it hates most" in order to achieve our goals. hehe

Yeah, Ill probably be disapointed...but I must see it since the anime was the only series to almost make me cry lol.

Evangelion is the most depressing series I have ever seen, even compared to live action (then again I did watch the whole series straight through the first time without sleep).

Wow... we are almost exactly the same... except I did cry... asuka...

I'm kinda disappointed that Star Wars ep 3 didn't come out at the same aggressive pace as the other movies... It really killed out the momentum, I agree... Oh well, I'm still interested to see what I already know is going to happen...

It might be, if they'd forget the sissy movie version and used the guy from Robert Howard's writings.

My English/history teacher had a Conan poster on the wall, if I do remember correctly... It was the one of arnold holding the sword close to his stomach, ready to fight... I couldn't look at another Conan movie or anything of the sort for a while after that...

What did you think of Troy? I think that it was a horrible butchering... but that's just me and my entire history class.

I havn't seen it, though I want to. I don't feel like going to the movie theater to watch it, so I'll probably just wait until it's out on DVD.

One word: ICK.

I mean, I'm gay and I thought they were showing too much of Brad Pitt's butt.

And there's the whole 'they butchered the original' thing, also. Typical Hollywoodism to the extreme. They took an epic poem about senseless war and turned it into a hollywood mushfest about poularity and "true love". If you want to see that, then there's a bunch of high school teen movies out there already. We don't need another one.
