Looked at the cast list for the reboot. Taika Waititi is the supreme being. I suppose his ego is as big as a God’s, but why is the universe torturing me?

Taika Waititi is brilliant though. He’s earned that ego. Jojo Rabbit and Thor Ragnarok brought immeasurable joy to my life. I also really liked him in Free Guy. Might have been one of the best parts of that trash fire.

… Free Guy was really really bad. It’s like they sprayed a bunch of money at Ryan Reynolds at said "just go nuts dude."

There's free guy , lucky#sleven, wolverine origins, blade trinity, hit man's bodyguard, criminal (shh he was the Cia agent that died) deadpool1&2, Greenlantern. Ok brain fart I have more of his movies somewhere....

Wasn't there like a 7 ghost, or 7 dead men something like that.

That was the movie with the sniper shot with what must have been a howitzer that blew somebody across the room right? I’m too lazy to look it up and it’s been almost twenty years since I saw it.

Smoking aces he's one of the cops. They weren't the prominent chs. But when the killing got going they did a bunch of it.

I tend to avoid anything Taika Waititi is involved in these days.

He can produce good stuff. The trouble is, he needs someone who can say no to him. The last Thor movie was a bloated horrible mess.

So I saw Deadpool vs Wolverine. I enjoyed it but I think they could have cut it by, say 20 minutes. The interview scene at the beginning, definitely dragged on. Can’t fault the action scenes.
This was a love letter to the pre-MCU marvel movies. I’m not going to spoil the cameos, and there were people I never expected to see playing their characters again. If they never reprise their roles again, this would be a nice last hurrah to go out on.

One ch wasn't played by channing tatatum, but was played before by someone else. As was one of the badguys. (Played by someone else) but most the chs were the same people.

It was to spoofy like Thor love and thunder, scary movie, superhero movie, starving games type spoofy. Even for a dp movie.

Yeah love and thunder was bad. Seems like he got so caught up being funny and wacky that he forgot there was a movie to make too.

So, I enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine. It was not as funny or as well-told a story as DP1 and DP2, but it was good. It leaned even harder into the meta stuff than the previous movies, but that was for plot reasons that you'll understand when you see it.

I think the first half hour of the movie (after the credits, which were hilarious) dragged a bit. I wasn't a fan of where Deadpool was in life at the start and it wasn't really very funny. At the other end, the end credits scene is definitely worth the wait.

Hugh Jackman was great. He breathed some fresh life into DP, but he needed to come in earlier. The cameos were mostly great (besides an early one from an Iron Man character).

It was a good movie, but I'll say this: I own DP1 and DP2 on DVD. I don't think I'm going to buy this one. I'd definitely watch it again in the future if it was free. Maybe a 50-50 chance I'd pay to see it again.

If this was Disney's bid to "save Marvel," I think we can lay Marvel to rest.

It’s not going to save Disney, because it’s being run by the same people whom have run it into the ground. This was essentially a Ryan Reynolds project that got green lit by Bob Chiapek before Iger deposed him. If Kevin Feige could have cancelled this, he would have. He even tried to talk Jackman out of coming back.

I own 0 dp movies. I liked them well enough if I caught them in the 3.74$ bin at Walmart I'd consider buying them. But otherwise I'll probably never see them again.

Same with most marvel movies after age of ultron. I just didn't get into them. Especially infinity wars. Fact in the comics Thanos said the hero he fears most was wolverine. Not even existing in mcu. That alone to me killed everything. Ant man wasn't pym. Sucked. Ect. Sorry they seem to be making movies without knowing the source material exist. Much less using any of it. They got names and basic powers and ran with it.

Also I hate spoofs and they definitely aiming to spoof everything.

Yeah, I checked out of the MCU after I literally (literally as in actually, not for emphasis) fell asleep watching Age of Ultron in the theater. I only saw Deadpool because everyone was telling me how funny and different it was. I liked it because it mocked the MCU, and also because it was probably the only funny movie I had seen from Hollywood in years. I was trying to think of all the good comedies Hollywood has put out in the last decade and all I could come up with were the two Deadpool movies.
