Watched surrogates all the way through with out falling asleep. Normally asleep by the chopper crash. Probably to much like I robot which I've seen to many times.
So many similarities. Scientist (same actor both movies) created robotic marvels. Finds a problem goes against those making money. Seeks help from law enforcement. Lots of corruption. And big flashy ending. Besides other similarities. But it was a good movie. Better now that I've seen it all.

So continuing my current Bruce Willis movie benge. I realized that in every Diehard he blows up aircraft. Mostly helicopters. But some others. And in every movie there is a helicopter.

Watched screamers and Screamers 2. I didn't know there was a 2. The screamers were different. And the fact there were survivors after the first one is a crazy idea. But in continuity it does tell the fate of the ch from 1. And continue to advance the screamers. The end was aliens like. And predictable.

Watched “The Last Supper”. It’s easily my favourite Cameron Diaz movie. There is a lot of people would go on to be famous, like a younger Mark Harmon, who had a small roll.
It’s a black comedy about a group of liberal students who invite people whom they consider to have extreme views, to dinner, to challenge their views. If the person fails to change their view, they’re poisoned in the last course. The students gradually become as bad as the people they’re murdering. At one point they nearly kill a teen girl whom was advocating abstinence, before one of students regains sense and lets her go. Can Ron Pearlman turn the tables on these murderous students? It gets a recommend from me.

My DVD player. As in I had the DVD and watched it.
It seems to be available on a few streaming services, so there’s probably one that suits you.

There was no invitation in my last post, either directly or implied. Besides I know your undying love for the Spurs, will see you volunteering your time to them, tomorrow.

Impossible to get, for you.
Rewatched a couple of movies, mainly because I wanted to contrast their differences. Judge Dredd I would have enjoyed this a lot more, had it not been a Stallone movie, wearing a Judge Dredd flesh suit. Don’t get me wrong, I still think this was entertaining, but it’s not a Judge Dredd. When he’s in uniform, Stallone absolutely looks the part, but he doesn’t get the character. I don’t know if it was the result of Stallone making demands, ooor writing, or some combination of the two. He’s not Dredd. It’s clear the writers had only taken a superficial look at the comics, as they kill off several recurring characters and villains that could have held their own movie. I’m not sure where they would go for second movie, perhaps adapting the “Democracy” storyline, poorly. Dredd By contrast this one absolutely nails Judge Dredd. Fantastic performances all round, and a tight script. This one deserved a trilogy, but sadly didn’t make enough to fund the next two. I’m not sure why it didn’t do well, I remember not seeing much advertising for it. Very sad there wasn’t more of this.

Stallone ruined Judge Dredd for me, and the fact he took his damn helmet off!
They could of and should of used the Angel Gang much more in that film and was disappointed it was more or less a cameo. Dredd - Totally agree with your sentiments, the whole cast smashed it and the atmosphere and vibe of Mega City one was nailed! I think it could have developed into a whole franchise, not just a trilogy, such a big, big shame! Hopefully it will be picked up again in the future and other 2000AD spinoffs would be cool such as Diceman and ABC Warriors. Could be so much better than the tripe we are fed today.

I haven’t seen Dredd. Judge Dredd was what it was for the time I suppose. I enjoyed it well enough as a child who’d never read the comics.
