![]() I am most certainly interested. I could throw in Paror... Or another character I have yet to try (hint: magus, inquisitor and cavalier are the big 3 for me) - I'll move my talk of the game to its OOC. also: Quote:
- They (another player was added) soon caught my interest and I was joined in, playing a non-descript spellthief with a random name and nothing else to distinguish him from the crowd. He evolved into Paror, the game evolved into the best damned one I've ever been in, with the three players the best damned players and DMs I've ever seen on site. This game is something of a memorial to them, and a chance to relight the fires of forum gaming ![]() -Bug

That sounds good to me, it sounds like you picked a great group of players, I will do my part to make this the best damn game I've ever played or been involved in!

I will never say no to better ability stats. Is that official, do I get 5 points to spend? It is standard point buy I assume, where the cost goes up as the stats get higher, right?
Nearly done equipping my guy. Nothing too odd, +1 armor, greatsword and a nice bow. I'm thinking the greatsword could be a broken fire-giant sword that has been adapted through creative grinding and such to just function as a greatsword. Would that bit of flavor be permitted? The bow would be elvin, stolen from some elf he killed. Armor could be left over from his youth, dwarven in make.

Flavour is always permitted.
Yeah, make the stats official, using standard point buy rules (i.e: changing a 13 to 14 would cost 2 points) -Bug

Cool, just bumped STR and CON to make them even and thus grant a better bonus. Also switched out Improved Sunder for Furious Focus because, well, I just thought it fit better. Improved sunder seemed like too fancy a fighting style for him, given the background. I thought hitting harder in general would be better. I'll edit the background a bit to reflect this.

7 points to increase DEX from 16 to 18 1 point to increase WIS from 12 to 13 2 points to increase CHA from 13 to 14 |

Sweet. I bumped my intellect up to 1 to 14. Extra skill points are always nice.
![]() Background etc will come later today. I have a pretty good idea of the background, both his and his very unhappy Celestial Eidolon Butler. ![]()

Rundown of the background (more fleshed out version coming later {6 hours?}).
Born to the family of a low rank but very wealthy family. The last three generations have had the family grow from minor landholders to one of the more powerful in the realm. They are ruthless, cunning, intelligent and willing to actually work hard to get what they want. Half the nobility in the realm owe them favors and the other half are too scared to openly act against them. All they really need for a chance at the Crown within a couple of generations is a noble title. When he was born there was a great deal of rejoicing. An Angel came to the birth, claiming that the child was destined for some greatness, and it would check in occationally. This greatness was represented in a birthmark in the shape of a halo on his shoulder. At age ten the angel returned and swore its service to his cause if he would have it. The boy produced a contract he had 'found' and the angel signed it, thinking it was a silly childish thing. Turns out it was an actual magical binding, claiming a portion of the angels strength as an Eidolon. Eventually it was discovered that the 'great things' was probably just 'claiming an angel', something a little disheartening for the poor angel who was bound till the man died. It held back most of its strength, but enough of it remained to make a fair bodyguard. Adding insult to injury the young boy ordered it to become a butler, at first as a joke but later by preference when he discovered it was fantastic at the job. The first of three sons, he has little in common with them. He is a wastrel, spends all his time at court playing around and tupping whoever he can (which is most everyone) and basically disgracing the family name. The angel follows him around, making a fine conversation piece. He treats it much better now than he did as a child, it having become more of a friend than a servant now (especially since his friends keep trying to betray him or use him in their politics). He learned some magics from the angel over the years, who was constantly trying to talk him into doing good deeds. He learned mostly to shut him up, and didn't learn a great deal even so. Eventually his family found a baronesses only daughter for him to marry, a three hundred pound woman with a terrible temper and a face like a hippo. He played along for a while, then the day before the wedding arranged for her to see him sleeping with every female member of her serving staff, at the same time. He meant it to make his family stop trying to set it up, but it backfired and he was disinherited and tossed onto the street. He claimed the title Baron anyway though, and kept the name Haversham. The angel followed because it had no choice...

Post 1 is going up as I speak. All the titles will be related in Chapter 1. But no prizes for guessing why (its pretty damned obvious)
Also, a mechanics thread, for special rules -Bug

Killers songs. It's a running thing in my games to drop lines and characters in, reference the videos etc. Was even gonna run a game based primarily on that premise, with a chapter for each song, but it never worked out.

My kids don't really let me listen to music, so I'm not really familiar. Ah well. Were it Pink Floyd or Hoyt Axton references, I might stand a chance.

Wouldn't worry about it. I'm currently on a big house / trance rush. You know, due to being at uni and going out drinking 5 nights a week. Love me some Swedish house and Armin Van Buuren
