Ok, it looks like we're getting there! I'm hoping to have things reviewed and ready to start the game by Monday.

The overview map is up in the "You are here" thread. The circle is where Mad still land/start. Dark, you kind of have free reign/rein(?).

One thing I need, is a write-up (short is fine) of who your people are. Any drawbacks/characteristics or whatever that they might have, etc. Specifically from Dark, I need to know how you happened to come to the wedding. There's a blurb in the 3rd post in this thread giving suggestions. Being old, you could also have been a mentor of sorts in battle. Or maybe you just 'saw' that bad things were happening here, and came hobbling.

Which one of Elyin's parents were human? Regardless, my character could be the brother of his parent, thus his uncle. Or perhaps a great uncle (brother to a grandparent) or grandfather, considering the age.

Either/Any of those options are fine. The book doesn't specifically say, so I'll let you roll with whichever you want.

Also, I've updated the game thread with the briefest of info. If you want to post how you approach the festival, I'll update on what you'd see/experience.

The book has a unique start, where it gives you considerable time to merge (I know there's a better word for this, but can't think of it) with the residents.

GDocs seem to be blocked for some reason at work (just came in for a day). This could become problematic later on, although I could stick with the morning posting from home in the interim.

@Mad: re your IC post... It's pretty cool but... is that pretty much all internal monologue (aside from the bold spoken bits)? Is this going to be the norm (thinking=acting) or is it merely your introduction. I got a bit confused, so wasn't sure what to do with my own post (not to mention I've been wasting time unneccessarily looking for images for the char, lol).
