Name: Oberon De'Verik
Gender: Male Race: Drow (Commoner) Appearance: Being of average height for a drow allows Oberon to go about unnoticed in his society. However, his dark, almost chocolate hued skin below his origins on the surface. As do his silver tinted hair and bright emerald green eyes with red shading. He has a scar that stretches from just above the base of his neck down to his hip. That is a sorry for another time. A slight individual, he is, however, not weak. He stands at 5'11"and weighs around 168 pounds. Personality: Oberon had many views of the world at large, but one thing that he will never change is his view of right and wrong. His calling brings him to there edge of nature and civilization, and becoming that wall that is needed to protect the wild. His guess brought him into conflict with the ruling nibbles is his society, and they hunted him. He escaped the underdark and made it out to the surface world. Here, he was equally hunted. His heritage alone had him arrested and sent to the colony. His abilities, he believes, will help him eventually escape. Background:Oberon Di' Verik was born 117 years all in a place where evil reigns and devils are common. His mother was a twisted and sick individual, even compared to the rest of her race. In a for of rage when a small ritual failed, she struck out at her 7 year old child, Oberon. The dagger left him flayed open on the left side of his back. Healers kept him alive, but allowed him to heal naturally, he being just a male. He escaped when he was 112,and had learned more of the ways of the World Above. He continues to strive for excellence and will one day escape the colony. Add for why he is here. Well, a drow on the surface world, what wise could you expect? Roleplay sample: Oberon stood at the edge of the precipice. He was tired. His friend, his only friend, stood next to him as they watched the orcs getting closer. We really need to get moving, Oberon. We can't stand here forever. They will surely have bows. Shelin sounded worried. He always sounded worried. What did you expect from a halfing outcast? Relax. There are only 12 of them. Is you were so worried, you should have never gone into their camp and stole their alcohol. Trust that an orcs will kill you over territory, drink and food. I moved a little as an arrow came flying in a lazy arc at us. It missed, as it was poorly aimed. Look, I'm all for treasure. Believe me I am. But, Oberon, this is getting out of hand. We have flight goblins, ratfolk, and devilish humans. And now orcs. You are leading is into am early grave. Shelin squeaked as another arrow made him duck. Looking down at my friend, I laughedYou are truly in a foul mood. It is now time to ruin. The Tesla are set. They will run into it n.... As Oberon spoke the final word it was drowned out NY the screams of a dozen orcs stepping into a spring trap. All 12 fell hard as fire erupted from the dozens of flasks Oberon had set for them. With that, Oberon and Shelin turned and ran. Last edited by RacesWild; Jan 20th, 2016 at 10:33 PM. |

Posting interest! I love Pathfinder and this sounds like a super interesting concept for a game, so naturally I want in!

This is starting to look like I'm going to have a lot of work cut out for me when the time comes to actually pick players...but nonetheless, great to see so many apps!

Does not having anything witty or pithy to add still fulfill the criteria for needing something witty and pithy to hide obvious secret text?

Seriously though, this story has me feeling like a book you had to stop reading just as it starts to ramp up. I'm so anxious to find out everything that's happening and get to know the world better, and I barely have more than a suggestion of what's going on with Krakengard. Even if I don't make the cut, I'm sure I'll ghost the thread every once in a while just to see how this story evolves. Unless that's frowned upon. I'm new here, I don't know the etiquette.

Heh.... funny you should mention that. Was halfway considering on applying with my Catfolk Sorcerer version of Felix the cat splashed with a bit of Cheshire cat's and Pok's personality...

I've been meaning to ask this question for a while now, but kept forgetting to actually do so.
Since Daylight is a spell that's being restricted in this game setting, if a Race/Class is granted it as a spell like ability, will there be a possibility of substituting a different spell of comparable level, or will it just be a lost feature of that Race/Class? I don't feel like it will really impact my character for the most part, but was curious on your thoughts. |

I think daylight is actually restricted to a feat now in the pathfinder books. I think it is restricted to those who can turn/rebuke undead specifically

I am not quite sure what you are referring to RacesWild, but in the advertisement post, Inem indicates he is putting restrictions in his game world to preserve the flavor he has developed. That's where my question comes from.
