Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's that time. I promised some time on Friday, and it's Friday. And the current time is...some!

Ok, lousy dad jokes aside, it is time to select the group. I want to point out that, as of this writing, there has only been 1 new application in the last 3 days, and at that, it's incomplete. I feel confident that we won't see anything new or finished in the next few hours, and so I'm going to just get on with this so we can get on with having a great game.

I'd like to start by saying that the quality of the applications and character concepts was far beyond what I expected. I know from seeing other advertisements that there are a whole lot of really good writers here, but what came about for this game just blew me away. It's because of this level of writing that this decision was a bit hard, and it makes me sad that I simply cannot accept everyone. Please know that if you did not make the grade here that it is not a reflection of you or your character or your writing ability, but rather that the group that was selected is just made for each other. You all made this pretty darned difficult on me!

Before I announce the group, I want to let everyone know that there were 3 characters who nearly everyone said they wanted to be in a group with. To clarify this, at least 1 of these characters received a recommendation from everyone. And in most cases, 2 of them received the "This character is amazing and would be awesome in a group" from people. For this reason, those 3 characters are being selected for the group. How could I exclude any of them when everyone said they wanted to be in a group with them?

Once those 3 were determined, I went through the rest of the applications and, using a combination of size, speed, strength...wait, that's not right. Let me start that again. Using a combination of the writing, the concept, and whether or not they and the other 3 wanted to be in a group with them, I was able to whittle the list down to 6 characters. And I think this group is the right one for what we are all about to set off to do. So, without further ado, here is the list of victims selected group:

• Faldo Fleetfoot, Halfing Rogue, to be played by Ildrahil.
• Kathra Ungart, Mountain Dwarf Barbarian, to be played by The Rat Queen.
• Toki, Half-Orc Bard, to be played by DadJokesRanger.
• Ciaran Kincaid, Halfling Fighter, to be played by Alemar.
• Kroth Mokzol, Half-Orc Warlock, to be played by leftyyy88.
• Liska, Lizardfolk Ranger, to be played by PalladiaMors.

The game forum is located at this link right here, so if the selected group could come on in, take your shoes off, and sit for a spell, we can get moving with this. To everyone else, I sincerely apologize for not being able to take more than 6 characters! However, in the event the jungle hazards gets the better of one of these fine adventurers, you may be called upon to join us!
