yeah, or you can buy stacks of 10 darts for 50 coppers each at the start of the game and just loot them back from the corpses after the battle... They aren't considered ammunition, so they don't get destroyed during combat as long as you remember to pick them back up so you should theoretically never run out of ammunition either. 20 darts is only 5 silvers and 5lbs of carry weight.

I've thought about rogues Vs. fighter for this build and damage wise it starts off great for the rogue then flips at level 5 due to the fighter gaining multiple attacks while the soul knife is stuck at just 1. It comes down to personal preference and RP style as Fighters can still be flavored as charming scoundrels

I personally don't see barbarians as motivated by fear. I think of Rage as a harnessing and focusing of many emotions; while one of those emotions would almost certainly be fear (fear is quite powerful, after all), it would also be bravery, anger, joy, hatred, love, a desire to live, acceptance of death. Everything compressed and held until the pressure builds up to the point where it physically alters a person's capabilities.

It doesn't even have to be that. "Rage" is more than just the barbarian getting mad. It's a supernatural, or rather primordial, outburst of power that the barbarian channels through whatever means. It could be an expression of anger, but for some like the Ancestral Guardian it could be a short prayer for guidance from the ancestors, with the barbarian staying calm and collected but chanting honorifics to the ancestors while "raging". It's all a matter of how you flavor and visualize things. An inner peace, monk-like barbarian, that's something I might have to try in the future.

As a person who's favorite class is barbarian and having actually gotten to 'play' a few. I have viewed rage as a pure determination to survive and get back to one's family or as a blood rage where it requires at least an rp trigger like an enemy drawing blood on them. I like what y'all's are saying, it can literally be anything.

One of my first ever original characters (not tabletop) was a temperamental powerhouse who harnessed the power of fire. She had very little patience for the people around her, and was quick to burst into flames the moment someone slighted her.

To add to that, if you put r after IMG it will place the image to the right. You need the r after both the leading and ending IMG.

I will start this morning by saying holy cow, Batman! 2 days in, and we are at 19 applications. Hot dog! I guess I decided to run the right campaign at the right time, huh? Makes it hard to wait for another 10 days before we get to part 2, and then another week after that to do selections. I just hope you all can stick with this for that long!

I do mean to select Traits/Bond/Ideal/Flaws, but not necessarily the Skills/Languages/Tools. And again, if you get selected and realize there is massive overlap or things don't fit any longer, you'll get the chance to tweak the character.

To add to what others have said, it doesn't look like the URL showing is an actual image. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the image have to be a PNG, JPEG, or the like? Are we allowed to link back to google drive?

Yup, you can. You need to...

• Upload the picture to Google Drive.
• Right click on the uploaded file and click 'Share' and then 'Share' again.
• Update the permission to share with 'Anyone with the link'

Khalim was truly after one of the most sacred secrets of the temple, hidden deep in its vaults: The Seven Stones of Mystra are divine crystals that were said to channel all the great magics of the multiverse, and even able to open portals and allow a skilled wizard to walk between worlds. Before Khalim’s marauders could reach the sacred vault, the priestesses gathered and in their desperation cast a spell that teleported the Seven Stones and scattered them across the material realm. Khalim got to the vault just too late. In his rage at being denied his prize, Khalim ordered the slaughter of all the priestesses. But he did receive one clue. One of his warriors was a skilled tracker, and saw that one acolyte had escaped into the jungle. Khalim appealed to the dark entities whom he served, and received the insight that Suneeta had indeed escaped, and the book she carried would unlock the secrets he needed to recover the scattered stones. Suneeta herself did not know of the existence of the Seven Stones, as she was only a junior acolyte and not yet ready for this knowledge. But as she hurried through the forest, she was visited by a vision of Mystra. The beautiful goddess charged Suneeta with a quest; to find and recover the Seven Stones, by using her insight and studies to unlock the secrets of her book. And so the hunt begins. Suneeta travels the world, offering her services as a wizard to those in need, and joining bands of adventurers that might unwittingly be on track to uncover one of the greatest magical treasures of the multiverse. We still haven’t decided what to do with you.” “I am sure when the moment comes, you will do the right thing,” said Suneeta, earnestly, staring into his eyes. “Oh, I love moments like that,” Finch grinned, his gold teeth glinting in the dappled sunshine through the jungle canopy. “I like to wave at them as they pass me by.” “We shall see,” said Suneeta, unimpressed. “The point is,” Finch realised he was losing track of the conversation. “You don’t go round giving orders here, eh?” “I see,” said Suneeta, simply. “Then go ahead.” “No,” said Finch, annoyed. “I decide when I want to go ahead… I mean…” “Enough of this!” Barg rumbled forwards. The half-orc hefted his mighty axe and Finch stood aside. “Barg no scared of big spiky plant!” The huge barbarian began hacking at the plant in question, and its response was alarmingly instant. The vines quivered, then the red quills along its limbs shot out like darts. In a moment a dozen were embedded in the half-orc’s arms and chest. “Huh! Barg, stop!” Now it was Durgen who bustled forward. The dwarf ranger hefted his crossbow on a strap over his armoured shoulder and tugged at the half-orc’s arm. “Could be poison!” Barg, impressively, kept on slashing with his axe a half-dozen more strikes until whatever was in the quills took effect. His eyes glazed over, he stumbled backwards, and his speech slurred. “Barg naaa scare…” “Quickly, unbind me,” Suneeta leapt forward and looked at Durgen. The dwarf exchanged a doubtful look with Finch. “I can help him!” said Suneeta, pointing at the now collapsing half-orc. Finch bit his lip, then nodded reluctantly. Durgen produced a dagger and slit the leather cord around the wizard’s wrists. Suneeta knelt down next to the convulsing half-orc and reached into her pouch. She produced a mixture of herbs and moss and applied it around the points where quills were embedded in Barg’s skin. At the same time, she muttered mantras, spells; whispers on the hot, humid, windless air. Barg tried to reach for the quills, but Suneeta slapped his huge hand away. “They are barbed, do not rip them out, or it will be worse. Here, eat this.” Barg looked dubiously at the green mulch that she offered him, but after a gulp he swallowed it down – followed with a choking cough. Soon, his convulsions slowed, then ceased. “There,” said Suneeta, rising to her feet again. “The blessed herbs are in his blood now, they will counteract the curse.” Suneeta looked past Finch and Durgen, who both stood there, dumbstruck at how she had just saved their mighty ally. She regarded the forest and muttered something, then waved her hands. As if a curtain had been suddenly drawn aside, part of the impenetrable foliage lifted to reveal a dark path. “That is this way to the temple you seek,” she told Finch. But the pirate was not listening. So eager was he to reach his prize, he scampered on as soon as the path appeared. Durgen was right beside Finch, rubbing his long bushy red beard with anticipation. Even Barg managed to rise to his feet once more and stumbled on after them. Suneeta strolled on after them, passing into the little shaded tunnel of green foliage produced by the lifting of the curtain. She found them twenty paces later, paused at another glade. Here, stepping stones across what looked like a shallow bog had been arranged into neat rows and columns, each stone with a rune carved upon its surface. Finch, Durgen and Barg considered these, warily. Next to the first row, the skeleton of a dwarf lay, grasping at a boulder to the side of the glade. Durgen spotted something on the rock by the skeleton. “Huh! That’s dwarfish runes, I can read ‘em!” the ranger bustled over and wiped away cobwebs and moss. Then he stepped back and studied the writing on the rock. “Well?” said Finch, impatient. He could almost taste the gold waiting for him in that temple, beyond the path. “It says,” said Durgen, hesitantly. “Watch ye step! Here be magic!” Finch looked at the rows of stepping stones, then to Durgen, then to the skeleton, then to Barg, who was still unsteady on his feet. Then the rogue turned to Suneeta. He offered his best, golden-toothed, charming smile. “Now then, me dear; how about you does that wavey hand thing again, and we makes you an equal partner in whatever we find on the other side, eh? We have an accord?”

I did that, then a couple of other steps- as you can see above in my post it isn't really working out...
