New to the format but love reading the archives!

I'm excited to get started, already put in to join the solo game TOM.

I would love to get some tips though on playing well and making good well rounded replies in games.

I'd hate to hold up momentum, but love to lighten to mood with RP antics.

Spoil me with resources friends! I love to learn to suck less! I also enjoy the HOF campaigns, they are inspirational.

Welcome to the club chummer!

Looking for guidance eh? Well here is the most comprehensive guide I've seen on the site. It's long, a little dry in parts, but it's worth the read.

Why don't you tell us a little more about yourself! What's your poison? Pathfinder and D&D5 are the big dogs around here but you can find just about anything if you're patient enough! I'm a Shadowrun and Warhammer 40k man myself!

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you settle in!

I appreciate the links, and despite the dryness I enjoy getting their perspective!

I have only really delved into Dnd and dabbled in 3 - 5e.

I have always wanted to get to a point that I could dm a campaign but haven't felt informed enough to manage the upkeep.

I keep hearing the names, Shadowrun, Pathfinder, Warhammer, etc. But I haven't had anyone else interested before. Why do you enjoy them? Give me some inspiration to try them out?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Goodmorning timisaberry,

- fun username, cool! I expect there is ... or you might be an actual berry? ;-)a story to tell with that username? -

I really respect your goal and ambition to DM a campaign and working towards that. I have never played Shadowrun and Warhammer but I did play Pathfinder for years till 5E came out. The thing about Pathfinder was that it is awesome to really create your very unique character with so many choices of feats and thingies but I personally prefer the more rules-light version when 5E came out. I am still in one Pathfinder game but we are facing an almost dead character and it is so hard to heal, needs a lot of in-time time and potions while 5E gets the more (unrealistic) recover-option to heal overnight 'no matter the injuries'. So yeah, legs will grow back and near-deaths will heal after a good night sleep

Anyway, what I was trying to say -> welcome over here!!!!!!
Interested in a solo game maybe????

I use the name a lot, because it contains all of my full name except for part of my middle. Saying it out loud is fun as well.

I really would like to DM all aspects I can. So all wounds play a part, arrow counts, economic shifts with time in-game, etc. My nerdy little passion is to make a super responsive world that throws characters for a loop, without forgetting to let them enjoy it!

I will definitely be checking out some Pathfinder games to learn about it, it sounds super fun!
