Hello everybody
I've been lurking around D&D for decades, not actually playing much until the last year since which I've played 5e online on Roll20 and in a face to face group. But I'm also keen to give pbp a go, and rpgcrossing came up as the best place for it. So here I am!

Hey, welcome to the site and all that jazz that goes along with it. There is a lot of 5e games which pop up here, and a rather large group of assorted rp-ers/writers.
PbP is a great way to play, or at least I think so, it fits in well to a very busy schedule, and also lets you play with people around the world in a variety of time zones. If you want to get a taste for how it works as opposed to face to face, I suggest you give Solo Games a look. This place is pretty awesome and welcoming, so I am sure you are bound to find something. Never hesitate to ask around too about anything that comes to mind. Both the admin and players here are great for having a fount of answers to share. Anyways, welcome to the site and happy gaming.

Welcome to the club chummer!
Roll 20 is a pretty great place. I run a Shadowrun game there every other week. It's rough making all the bells and whistles work but it's worth it when it all comes together! Glad you could join us. Dont forget to sign up for your new player solo game! It's a great way to learn the ropes of PbP. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you settle in!

- weird, if you add 1 letter to your username you get the name of my youngest daughter ;-) - Cool that you found us and Google recommended us, and I think you have some experience to start making applications to get into a game. Have you been checking the 'Games looking for players'-section yet? Spotted some Games that were interesting? Most important though, welcome over here and hope you have fun. Feel free to ask if anything is unclear
