Hey there,

I've always been fascinated by tabletop rpgs, even though I first ever really started to become familiar with them through their video games, from Temple of Elemental Evil to the Neverwinter Nights series.

Building the characters had always been my favorite part of the games, and then I eventually found myself hunting down the actual source material. I only ever got to play a single real game as a child, using D&D 3.5E rules. I was a fighter fishman with a spear, and I remember getting my but kicked by a giant centipede monster before I split its head open.

I was having the time of my life.

Now years later, I've only ever really admired the scene from afar, I always looked up what material I could, filled out character sheets I never got to use with books I bought in the hopes one day I'd get my chance. Working Uni life kinda got in the way of that, and I put it on the back burner.

Now I'm in Africa, working a job I love but also miles away from anybody who may have even heard of a d20. I have an itch to play thats stronger than its ever been, and watching more and more people play through online means has motivated me to just go for it.

I hope I can have fun with you all!

PbP is perfect for learning new games and scratching that role playing itch. Plenty of time to plan out what you're going to say and double check the rules. The slower pace also allows you to play several different games at once.
