Nice to game with you guys

Initially it was 1 or 2 players wanted, but when we closed the apps, you three stood out as very fine players and we would have been sad to see any of you leave.

Don't let us... or Paror down

Hmm... not sure what to get for the last trait. Maybe Magical Talent if I can't think of anything else(he's the kind of person who'd be an okay mage if he had half the brain for it, and didn't grow up in a place where training the body is more important than breathing fire out of your nose).

For Magic Items, we just find two we want within our price range and run them by you, yes? The rest of our equipment is mundane?

Are we limited to two magic items? Alana has three that have a combined value of around 8k.

I originally said two but now that I think about it, as long as you don't go past your money cap.

Realistically, I want everyone balanced. I don't want any one person stealing the show because they have some super magic item.

Masterwork stuff costs a bit more so naturally you have to factor that in. Other than that, I'm game.

I have seen this balanced well by simply limiting the percentage of your budget you can spend on any given item. That way nobody can buy one single uberitem, they have to spread things out more.

Not trying to disagree (as I do agree ) but as a DM I find that players who go for the uber item generally have a few weaknesses

In general as a DM I like to go after min maxers, as soon as I catch a whiff of it I talk to the player, blah blah blah, if he is adamant on his build then things start going wrong

Okay, I believe my character is finished. If you check the notes, at the bottom, I have a number of things specifically left at home for family use. I didn't include everything, but if you use the Cost of Living Rules my family can live for 4 years at an average lifestyle plus still have 10 gold left for emergencies. I'm also going on the assumption that gems are like trade goods - they can be sold at full value (if you can find a buyer). If that isn't the case, I would be keeping the coin.

Is there any thing else that I need to do for my character?

Incredibly fair point pilgrim. Honestly, I'm fairly apathetic about the issue. What I mean by that is I see no real need to be restrictive about this. You all seem fairly competent so I'm just going to trust you guys. Although, if there seems to be a discrepancy it will be addressed.

Checking character sheets now.

EDIT: Everything seems to check out. Unless there is something that needs to be addressed, I'm gonna check a few things and we'll be open for business in about a day or two.

Small ticket items for Randy bought, as well as some boots for our mountainous adventuring. Now he is poor, like a proper monk. Still needs his last trait, though.

Right on. Working on a map of the region as we speak. It's a lot harder than I thought .
