I know this is going to sound kinda wishy-washy, but I think it really depends on what's going on. If it's something minor that isn't going to affect most of the party in an immediate sense, like this example, I'd say go ahead. If we're in a more dangerous situation though, I'd rather wait.

For the most part though, I don't have a huge preference one way or another.

Okay, I'll have Bingus walk into the jungle all by himself and get eaten by a giant snake .

I have only one thing to say to that...

I'm happy for you to update when you reckon it's worth doing: if there's one person doing their own thing, by all means give them an update. If it's the whole party having a discussion about which plants are actually edible, then wait for more posts.

Of course, Al's just likely to start munching on things "as an experiment".

Anyone other than Peter want to do something? Or did I not give a good description of the next logical step?

Just for clarification, is the boat a ways out to sea, so to speak, or just a mile down the coast?

My apologies, that was a bit unclear. You follow the coastline for half a mile and the terrain changes very quickly. The sand gives way to hard rock, which inclines pretty rapidly. You'll find yourself atop a cliff face looking down at the water roughly 50ft below you. The Jenivere is wedged between this cliff face and a bunch of jagged rocks, with the waves rolling into her fairly regularly.

The challenge will be getting onto the decks, and then salvaging what you can from the ship...plus getting said salvage off the ship. I'll post a more clear description when you move closer to the ship, but one would either have to navigate the rocks and waves, lower a rope down to the ship, or try and leap across to the crow's nest, then use the riggings to climb down.

I'll try and post a picture when the time comes. It will be rough, I'm not much of an artist but it should give some idea of how the Jenivere is lodged.

Bingus, Al and Gardrel have volunteered to go down to the ship. I need to know who else is going, and who wants to stay on the cliff to hold the rope. For the record, Aerys is eager to get onto the ship, but none of the others wish to do so. Jask is still manacled and is sitting on a rock just watching quietly, Ishirou has the rope in his hand ready to haul it, Gelik is still sulking and Sasha is looking down at the waves and sharp rocks chewing her lip.

Sorry, kind of a busy weekend here, so not sure I'll get an IC post in. To keep things moving - Koril isn't too fond of salt water, so he'd rather stay on the cliff hauling stuff up.

I'm going to try to have an IC post up in 12 hours, but if we're irritated with waiting for Welter, he's much more interested in joining the away team aboard the grounded ship.

Welter may need to stay up top for some muscle, it was more Koril I was wanting to know about. Tell you what, I'll wait to post until tomorrow afternoon, so you guys have a chance to get some IC posts in if you wish. How we're splitting the group seems pretty much set, but if you want to IC post thats fine too.

... Oh dear, it appears my last post killed the game...

Did we loose anyone? Seems like everything slowed down a ton...

How dare you Aldra!

No, mostly my fault . Sick with a virus at the moment, having trouble forming a post that actually makes sense.

Sorry for the break, I'm better now .

So I've outlined a few places you can go, but here it is again:

Upper Decks - all passenger cabins, plus the captain's quarters and dining room

Mid Decks - larder, storeroom, brig and galley

Lower Decks - condition currently unknown, but very likely fully submerged

The thrashing sound is coming from below you somewhere, but you can't tell if its mid or lower decks, nor pinpoint exactly where on that deck its coming from.
