Hello, all! And thanks, Acro, for the accept! A question on your house rules - you said no exotic weapons. Does that include racial weapons that are usually exotic, but martial for our characters? (IE, Halfling sling staff?)

One thing to keep in mind when purchasing your starting gear...

As a resident of Kassen, you know that those who are selected to participate in this "quest" are given provisions and a limited amount of equipment. The items given out each time are subject to change each year, but you're fairly certain that you'll be given a backpack, tent, bedroll and rations... among other things.

So, feel free to hang onto your gold and buy only weapons, armor and any specialized items that you might want.

Nah, unfortunately it would require a break in the ceremony to allow the adventurers to go pick up more supplies. You can certainly take along as much stuff as you wish, but it's safe to assume that your food and shelter will be taken care of, at a minimum.

FYI - You should all be at least passingly familiar with one another... you may not be friends, but you've almost certainly seen each other in and around town over the years.

Sorry, I somehow missed this question. I'll allow a halfling sling staff.

Ugh. While I can't see Shava's character sheet, I doubt it would change the fact: it appears that both my gear and my armor make me the slowest character. I wasn't planning to make a mounted combat build, but perhaps it would be a good idea... I still have the gold to buy a mount, after all. Though I put nothing in Ride.

Sorry, I forgot to make him public. He is now.

I recently implemented a 3-week cutoff rule. If a player in my game doesn't post in a game thread in three weeks, I drop the player. I'll be applying this to my GMs as well. Sadly, I have a player in one game who is a GM in another, and on the 25th I'll have to double drop him.

Acro's got until February 1st. I'll wait patiently until then.
