Since Goblins are sneaky conniving bastards, and Goboom will take the kick seriously, I must insist on you making an attack roll for that kick. The amount of damage you do, lethal or otherwise, will determine if we get into a fight before we've even met the first quest giver.

EDIT: Jeez, Alesch too? We're going to have some serious difficulty if everyone starts hitting me.

I'd rather we didn't bog the game down with PC combat just for such a trivial thing, as I'd meant it for flavor and nothing else. If it's that big an issue, I'll edit out the kick rather than start combat.

Personally, I think in a game of this nature a certain amount of 'non-damaging' violence is going to be common. If we get bogged down in rolling to hit, even though we intend no damage, the game is going to get nowhere. So it would be my suggestion that unless both parties mean to seriously throw-down for a fight, either to the death or not, then we let such 'flavor' text be (By this I mean any described violence that is not meant to actually cause damage in game). These are goblins, after all, and a certain amount of viciousness is both expected and common.

I agree with Lupus on this one. One-Eye didn't hit Goboom, he thumped him. One is fluff and does no damage . Keep in mind that all our characters are level 1 at this point, we don't exactly have a lot of HP. There's a very real chance with any mechanical combat that we might die. Any kind of critical hit, for instance, would drop a goblin into the negatives with a decent roll.

Nazt's dog could disable Goboom with a max damage roll on a regular hit, all by itself. At our level picking a fight with Nazt is not a smart move

Gotta agree with the two above on this matter. Actual damage would occur if they used a weapon... or were really intending to hurt him. But just kicking his arse into gear is hardly damage worthy.

I'll continue the introduction once Jesse and Brett have had a chance to post after the introductory scene it become a lot more fluid, don't worry!

We don't celebrate Halloween in Australia. Someone might have a costume party... MAYBE.

But I've had Halloween parties here like every day or night since Wednesday. It's awesome.

I also carved my first pumpkin yesterday. It was a dragon breathing fire!

Yeah, halloween's pretty awesome. I think I sorta missed out this time around though. I'm spending my holiday letting my mom drag me around. The holiday is obviously about her after all. :rolleyes
