"Stand up on deck and say prayers at half way between high sun and sunset. I know where to do so in that I'm not in anyone's way getting from here to there." The little man told the woman as much of his day as he had sorted out, which would take minutes, or hours, depending on whether or not he had an audience. "Owlbear. If he's the Captain's own, then I would like to think that the Pirate Queen would have a second of favorable sight upon him. I'd give words for him, and you, if you like."

Nori looks up at this man that could snap him in half with barely a thought. Then at the thick chains that hold him in place. Then at the wood of the ship where the chains are mounted, then back to Owlbear. "No creature deserves to be chained like this." The little man's eyes are angry at even this relatively minor mistreatment. "Every creature should have the chance to be free." Sadly, Nori isn't in a position to do anything about Owlbear's captivity right now, but he files this knowledge away for later, perhaps it will be useful.

Turning his attention to Sandara, Nori shrugs, "I don't have any plans for the day. You have a suggestion?"

The Camel doesn't have a clear opinion about the Owlbear's treatment. To him, sitting safely chained to a large buoyant object seemed greatly preferable than having to scramble untethered high above it... where the endless water was only an accidental slip away. Gathering his robes, he shudders at the thought.

His answer to Sandara's question is the same as Nori's so the dervish merely shrugs and says, "Perhaps I will whirl for a few hours, otherwise I have no plans."

The evening came to a close with little fanfare. The crew piled into the Middle Deck to eat then split up to chat, gamble, carouse, and drink that piss-water called grog. Everyone split up and did their own thing the next day come quickly.

Day 5

The dark started like any other, with the bell ringing to wake everyone up and the crew moving to the Main Deck to get their work for the day. Work pans out with no problem, each person going about their business. The real trouble begins that night.

During dinner after "Fishguts" gave out the nightly meal and everyone ate, Plugg came up swaggering to the group. The young man grinned a nastily at them and placed a hand on his hip. "So. Glad to see yer all workin' hard the last few days. Gots a proposition fer ya, if yer willin' ta hear it."

To listen to the words of shipmates is to better know what goes on in the ship. Thus we have fewer surprises to react to, and know what to be wary of. The Queen would want me to listen.

Skyfinger, sitting with the two fellow pressgangees that seemed hardiest, seemed friendliest, gave the vile Plugg a nod. "Of course I am willing to hear it."

The foreigner dervish casts about the ship in the evening hoping to have another arm wrestle with a certain green-skinned friend, but to no avail.

When morning comes, Al-Muqtadir is lounging next to Skyfingers, waiting for his orders (and hoping beyond hope that he doesn't have to climb too high over the hungry, ever-reaching ocean). He nods sagely to Plugg as the sea-priest gives his answer. "Yes."

Nori is sitting with his new friends, 'enjoying' the evening meal, at least as much as Fishguts' attempts at cooking could be enjoyed, when Mr. Plugg came over and completely ruined his appetite. Mouth twisting in distaste the little man almost tells the first mate exactly what he thinks of any proposal that might come from his mouth, but wisely decides to hold his tonuge. Instead, he nods along with the Camel and quietly says, "Let's hear it."
